Diamond Eye First Gen Exhaust on A Swapped Square Body GM

Ive heard through several sources that the Diamond Eye first gen exhaust was the way to go for the square body Cummins swap.
Well ours didnt exactly go off without a hitch

I did something similar on my swap. I actually ordered the Diamond Eye kit for the 6.5 GMT400 (my truck is a 98) and then built my own downpipe using a 2nd gen 2WD downpipe from Diamond Eye. I had to hack the downpipe apart and rebuild it as I used the industrial manifold but once it was all said and done I was able to keep it all 4" and the downpipe can be removed separately via a Vband clamp on each end. It turned out OK but it was a pain to cut, fit, repeat and so on. The included hangers were just about useless in my case.

Curious as to whether or not the pipe would have gone over the axle correctly or not. I want to order this kit for my 83 k30 crew cab but I don’t want to run a dump on it. I want it to go out the side behind the tire. Any help would be appreciated!

If you still have the saddle tanks. The tailpipe in the kit should work just fine over the axle. My truck doesn't use the saddle tanks instead I have a 40 gallon suburban tank behind the rear axle. They're just physically was not enough room to run the tailpipe over the axle with the suburban tank in there. My #FrankenTruck is about the same thing as yours... SquareBody CrewCab with 1994 6BT and I've been thinking about that downpipe. I've got the Dodge NV4500 setup, so hopefully that works out better for me. It sure ain't like the TV shows, is it?!! lol! Is that a K30 with a 10bolt up front? You sound just like me with everything being custom, non-standard, make-it-work type setup. It gets pretty frustrating, doesn't it? Thanks for the video! I'll be checking out more of yours!

Yes with running the Dodge stuff you shouldn't have a problem. And yes truck is a K 30 but has a Dana 44 under the front. When I bought the truck it had no drivetrain at all. Check out my earlier videos I did a intro when I first started this project.
