Gosh in 1978 after all of that height of success she lived SOUTH of Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills! That’s amazing! Here in LA everyone knows that the houses south of Sunset are much smaller and they have much smaller plots of land And are much more accessible from the street and visible, whereas the ones just on the other side of Sunset, going all the way up the hill are much larger and have larger plots of land and are much more secluded and so that’s where the big stars live, even ones lower down the totem pole than someone like Diana Ross in 1978.

She, Donna Summer and The Three Degrees are the trifecta (for me) from the 1960s and 1970s that show the complexities of women who look like me. That yes, there is a feminine layer there. I would add Amii Stewart to that list as well! Unfortunately today, the imagery is completely hijacked!

It funny because at the end of the day, its Diana signing those checks.. If she wants her microphone turned up and the audio person isn't doing it, Diana has ever right to get annoyed, isn't she paying their salary? What got you on board and which generation do you reside ?
@HardCold-Alquan11 ай бұрын
@@AlkalineInsides I guess because I was reading Martha Reeves, Mary Wilson and Otis Williams books. They have events that cross each other - and they all say the same things about Diana Ross. Then I saw Patty Labelle and Gladys Knight say similar things as well. When people inside and outside of her group say the same things and she was affecting them in the same ways by many of the same actions, then there HAS to be something to it! So because of the books, they mentioned backstories to some footage, TV show appearances, songs and other events that I like to check out on my own to get a fuller picture, just led me to review some things that I had seen but was unaware of the background concerning them. I guess you can say that I am X. So I grew up with Ross as a solo. She also lives a few towns away from me...
