Diane was stunning back then, and the cotton club is a classic in my opinion. coppola never got the credit he should have with the cotton club.

I loved the Cotton Club too, can't understand why it isn't held in such high regard as alot of his other work. I certainly liked it the most of the films he made with Diane.

It boggles my mind how she was a working actress till Unfaithful, how was she not like The “It” girl along with Julia and whoever was big in the 1980s/90s ?

Rumble Fish, Streets of Fire and The Cotton Club were all box office bombs. She took a three year break from acting after that and she basically had to climb her way back up the Hollywood ladder.

The date on this is incorrect. Cotton Club was released in mid December of 1984.

They're talking about "The Cotton Club" about to come out, and it came out in late 1984. It is definitely 1984.
