Sarah was DIVINE, and this tribute was done by 4 of my favorite women! I love the voice of each of them. Dianne Reeves is phenomenal!! Miki Howard had a voice that was stupendous! She could sing anything! Randi is an all time favorite with her uniquely beautiful phrasing! Oleta's rich voice can move me to tears! The best showed out for the best! THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!!!!!

This is one my best favorites singers I'll never forget. She marks my early years in Europe, early 90s what a memorable moment. I love you Randy. God bless. I'm sure I'll meet you one day.

All very talented singers paying tribute to a legend. I have most if not all of Randy Crawford's, Dianne Reeve's and Miki Howard's recordings and at least 3 recordings of Oleta Adams. Miki Howard is adept singing jazz standards. From memory she's included at least one jazz standard in each of her solo albums not excluding her work with Side Effect and other artist that fall into the jazz category. She is no slouch. Dianne Reeves as it has been said by many music critics and I agree is heir to Sarah's throne. Thanks for posting.

I have this on vhs from when it aired. It blew me away, i had never seen four women scat at the same time. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Real Real singers, real artistes, real musicians. Incredible voices. How I wish this kind of singing is present in this day and age. So sad, today's so called singers are fake and crap (Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez etc etc.). So sad today's kids dont know real singing and music. Listen to those voices!!!

The lack of quality singers and musicians in mainstream media has forced many older loved ones to introduce real music to the young. I'm always amazed when I meet young folk and they know who Sarah or Ella are. Plus, thank God for youtube. I'm finding all kinds of music I was never exposed to. KZfaq makes it easy to stumble across new and different music. The young are finding it and I'm talking about young musicians who don't give a crap about mainstream media. They're just glad to be able to put their music out. KZfaq may be the only place we can hear about them. My nieces tell me of people from all over the world that I never would have listened to because I didn't know about them. I trust that people know cotton candy when they see it. They also know where the real nourishment is too.

Donny McClurkin interviewed Oleta Adams & she mentioned how she loved Sarah Vaughan & how some compare here tone to Sarah's but unlike Sarah she couldn't scat...But I beg to differ. I remember this by the way I was most likely in the 6th grade. Thanks for posting. #Blessings

I was blown away when this aired because Miki was there and she was usually dissed or left out of things for whatever reason and she was my favorite. Oleta was brand new so that's why she was there. Anita was everywhere and one tribute without her won't hurt.

With this line-up, I will let it pass as great as she was. Miki Howard, slept on (hear glints of the great Whitney Houston) and Oleta Adams. Great voices, not to mention obvious choices like Reeves and Crawford. Even the presenters Ms. Cole and Vanessa, total class and talent
