Now, if only someone could distribute these movies in the USA. Or at least make them available for purchase online. I'm still still waiting for 'La Belle et la Bete' film from the same actress. In this digital age, why is it so difficult to *legally* purchase a foreign film?! If I wanted to do so, I could easily pirate the film, but because I want to purchase the film I have to go through second party sellers with insanely high prices. Stop losing money, and properly distribute these films worldwide!

+Lola Madre and visa versa. I'm in the Netherlands, I got 'la belle et la bete' it is amazing.. but I can't get my hands on a dvd of the devil's carnival 2, since the dvd wouldn't play on our dvd players and shipping cost is extremely high. And before Netflix made sure we can't change regions anymore using vpn, I'm stuck on the Netherlands version of Netflix, which doesn't even have 1/3th of the movies/series America has..

I can feel that this was a great film. i feel her pain and her struggle to do all the task that her master ask her to do in a very complicated way. I guess in the end she take her revenge against her lady master after all of those inflict & suffering.

Michelle To hi. These two movies that i saw on netflix called the IMMIGRANT, Director James gray , the other one is called the DUCHESS, Director Saul Dibb and the last one is called ANNA KARENINA and the Director is Joe Wright.This are very good movies i recommend for you.

@@victorha9923I have watched the film. It will appeal to people who have enjoyed literature and visual arts from the Decadent Movement. It is an accurate portrayal of Moreau's novel, which I expect, is probably too pessimistic for some viewers to enjoy without thinking about the implied imprisonment of desperate service staff to their captors, through an accident of being born poor.

Hé ben elle est gâtée Léa Seydoux ! C'est un beau rôle. Super intéressant. J'ai lu le livre, j'ai beaucoup aimé. Très chouette point de vue sur cette époque. Cette femme, héroïne de son temps, a eu une place extraordinairement privilégiée et est restée humble. On croirait lire le journal intime d'une amie. Très bien !

There is no help for us. We are doomed to screens full of action and few quality verbal interaction between the actors. Many of our actors think they are better than they are. Many are more like models who speak words. Such a disappointment .

What? They are actors and if you cannot throw yourself in to your role...you shouldn't be practicing the craft. An actor said in an interview that he enjoys playing truly bad roles sometimes simply because it is so very far from his real personality and let's him behave in ways he would find totally reprehensible otherwise. Not every role but once in awhile. Variety in work can keep work a happy responsibility to fulfill.

This is truly a terrible film. Overly drawn out, dull, no passion from the actors, and absolutely no plot. Don't waste your time, see another of the numerous films Lea Sèydoux had starred in

Michelle Pamela It was definitely not a traditional movie and the ending was unique/sad to say the least, but I very much love how the movie took risks with the plot and Lea Seydoux is such a fantastic talent and so absolutely entrancing that watching her perform was enough for me.

I didn't like this movie. And I love period films. I just didn't like any of the characters. And its just become a cliche how so many French films pair a pretty 20 year old woman with an unattractive 50 year old man. 😏 What is up with that?
