Complete LS engine build- part1

This is the build of my iron 6.0 LS that has been bored to 6.2. There will be multiple parts from bare block all the way to running. I am not a professional, and this is just me sharing my understanding as well as learning with all of you.
In part 1 we check main bearing clearances, crankshaft end play, get the cam bearings installed, and install the crankshaft.

Nice! I’m running an extra .001 oil clearance on the mains and rods on my 5.0. One piece of advice I have for anyone. Buy the best measuring equipment you can afford. Also, I know you probably already know this. Be careful clamping the micrometer in the vise, too much pressure on the frame will change the size. I put a towel in the vise before clamping on the micrometer. As always love the vids brother! 👊🏻

All your advice is exactly as I was taught in school, the zinc should help it stick if it sits. One thing I recommend is to clean those pistons yourself get some Zep orange degreaser a 5-gallon bucket dilute it to 10:1 with water you'll be amazed how clean they come out in 30-45 mins

I always put the camshaft in first. With the crank outta the way I can guide the back of the cam to keep from banging the bearings…
