Since no one mentioned anything abt the clip, im guessing sarah's dad was olivia's school teacher 10 years back and probably kidnapped and murdered her. Just like what Dr Charles said, sarah's dad took olivia's third monkey as a prized possession after murdering her to keep it as a trophy just like any serial killer. Thats why olivia's parent never found the third monkey in her dorm room.

The organ memory theory will be a nice plot for a murder mystery. The serial killer accidentally dies and his organs are donated to a person who starts to relive the murder moments and where the bodies were. A sequel could be that the organ receiver gets tormented by these thoughts so much that he/she becomes a serial killer

They ruined a perfectly good story by making him a killer. It's a cope out and makes it easy for the audience to hate him as an unambiguous evil, reinforcing the stupid stereotype sociopath = serial killer. For once we had a somewhat realistic portrayal of a real life sociopath. Most of them hurt their loved ones not by being physically violent but by being manipulative, selfish and untrustworthy. Having Reese decide whether her non-violent but selfish father is worthy of protection was far more interesting as a moral dilemma.

Dr. Charles: The parent think that she was murdered. Dad: Just cause a girl missing doesn't mean she's murdered. Dr. Charles: so you do know.. I didn't say she was missing This happened 10 years ago. You'd put two and two together that if the case is still open and parents think that she was murdered, she'd be missing as well? No need to jump to conclusions
@yukisuzu7496
@yukisuzu7496 3 жыл бұрын
You see, he never mentioned that the case was still open. For all this dad could know, the Olivia girl might have been found dead with causes unknown. When someone says that the parents of a person suspect their child was murdered, many people would comprehend the subtext to be “instead of dying from other causes”, and not “just missing and never been found”. So the fact that the dad said with certainty that “missing doesn’t mean murdered” can suggest he knows something.

Whether he was a serial killer or not he was creepy as hell to begin with. But again why do they have to kill a good story I don't understand. What are they trying to do pitch the idea that psychopaths and serial killers can be rehabilitated? I don't know about that. They have to want to be healed.
@nashbutler
@nashbutler Жыл бұрын
Psychopaths aren’t inherently evil they just don’t understand or care about how other people feel most just live their lives in seclusion or have a few people they interact with and influence. Only select few of them become serial killers
@Real_Steve_Sharpe
@Real_Steve_Sharpe 4 ай бұрын
They're not _"trying to pitch the idea"_ about anything medical at all, whether that be mentally of physically challenged people. Consider the number of workers involved in a production like this, just hold on a second and thing about everything that goes in to it. The actor who plays 'Sarah' isn't actually a doctor at all, doesn't have medical knowledge, doesn't decide what the character says or does, anthing like that. She's paid to look hot to certain people, get attention from certain guys, dress and act a certain way.. Consider that what this actor is given for three episodes is the same amount the poor lady who sweeps the floor to make the pretend hospital look nice earns for doing 6 days a week - as long as she shows up every day for the next 27 years without so much as showing up late even once.

He has a heart attack in the end of the episode, and Dr. Charles is starting to do compressions but hesitates. Okay so here are the involved characters: Dr Charles - forensic psychiatrist Dr Sarah Reese - psychology resident Dr Haywood - Sarahs dad, professor for astronomy, has heart problems and had a transplant, was diagnosed with psychopathy/antisocial personality disorder by Dr Charles, but doesnt want his daughter to know. Olivia - girl who went missing ten years ago, was an astronomy student of Dr Haywood at university Now when Dr Charles visits the family of the missing girl Olivia, he notices the missing third stuffed monkey. He visits the place where Dr Haywood lived and saw Olivias monkey through the window, which is how he knew that the professor must have abducted and killed her. In the end, Dr Haywood had a heart attack and Dr Charles hesitates to start CPR, which shocks Sarah. He survives though, I assume Dr Charles informed the police, because there is anither video where Dr Haywood is seen in prison.

@@gracehoughton5467 Plus, the reason he knows there's a third monkey missing on sight is because the other two are posed like the Three Wise Monkeys (or, 'sanzaru') - "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil". If you know that, and knowing she loved monkeys, you'd know there was a third.
