Can you kill your metabolism?
The short answer is no. As long as you are still living, your metabolism is still working. If you severely restrict your calories (say eating very low 1200-1500 calories a day) for a long extended period of time - then your metabolism can adapt going down amongst over things discussed in the video. But remember that as your metabolism can adapt going down, it can adapt going up as well.

This is great and what I am kindof doing, However…..in my 60s, we can’t process as much food as we used to, even Arnold said he can only eat 2 meals a day, so it is different for different age groups

Thanks for making this video, very informative. Could you possibly make a video on menopausal weight gain/weight distribution? Unfortunately, I’m menopausal and I usually gain weight on my lower half of my body but I’ve noticed a shift and have gained weight on my upper half. Have a great week

With the hormone changed in menopause, you will have a shift of subcutaneous fat to more visceral fat around the abdomen. Sleep can also be an issue. Most women in menopause do not strength train enough and focus too much on cardio.

I don't depend on scale now. I just trying to fix things that I done wrong in the past. My main priority now Is getting strong, building muscle and stay active. I chose to do body recomposition and calorie cycle to do this. No more fasting.

Thank you so much for the information! Just want to summarize to see if I understand, would you say the best ways to work on increasing metabolism is to basically increase muscle, so moving more, lifting more, eating adequate protein to support this and increase calorie intake as well to support the fact your moving more? Would that kind of be the gist of it? Thank you so much, I enjoy learning from your videos :)

Yes absolutely. Severe calorie restriction should only happen short term. Weeks. If it happens at all. You can still lose weight slowly on higher amounts of food.
