Angelica Hale was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 31, 2007, to American father James Hale, and Filipina mother Eva Bolando.[3][4] At the age of four, Hale contracted a severe bacterial pneumonia, causing septic shock and multiple organ failure, including her kidneys, and suffered permanent scarring on her right lung. She was placed in a medically-induced coma, transferred from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, and placed on ECMO life-support. After spending 12 days on ECMO and 80 days in the hospital recovering, she was released to go home on April 24, 2012. On September 13, 2013 after spending a year and a half on dialysis, Hale received a life-saving kidney transplant from her mother.[5] Soon afterwards, Hale began taking singing lessons with vocal coach Tara Simon in Alpharetta, Georgia. She then won a singing competition for five- to nine-year-olds, and has performed for many charitable functions, such as Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

You should check out ANGELICA HALE many performances of THE NATIONAL ANTHEM in many Sports Events n some other Events since she was little n 8 ,9, 10, 11, 2 this year she was 14 but please check any of them amazing incredible beautiful performances.

She had been doing shows for years. She nearly lost her life from kidney failure at age 4. Her mother gave her a kidney. She does benefits for transplant charities. You should see here now as a teen!

Thanks for the bonus reaction to Angelica's first Golden Buzzer on AGT. She came back two years later for the first season of AGT: The Champions and got a second Golden Buzzer making her the first, and still only, singer to get two Golden Buzzers on an AGT show. And yes, you are correct that, while she was just 9 for this performance, she had already trained for several years. She started vocal training when she was 5 with Tricia Grey at "Sing Like a Star Studios" and was the youngest student ever at the "Broadway Dreams Foundation" when she was 6. (Her performance of "Let It Go" with Tituss Burgess on the Broadway Dreams KZfaq channel has over 5.5M views.) She also took acting lessons at "Blank Stage Studios" when she was 9 (before AGT). She is a sepsis and kidney transplant survivor and her near death experience has given her a life-long goal of helping those with kidney disease. She's the first Kid Ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation and a celebrity advocate for the Sepsis Alliance. By the time she went on AGT she had done many charity performances for the Children's Miracle Network as well as the NKF. And yes, AGT is a reality show and not a talent show. Angelica had a large KZfaq following at the time and the AGT producers actually invited her to try out -- they need good talent to make the show popular and there's nothing better than a cute kid who can really sing.

I believe "She came out of that(performance) a little quick for me" is because audience reacted to her with happy smile and cheers before she finished singing, even a born perfomer like Courtney Hadwin, she had quick drop-off after her performance when she was 11.

I went back and watched this reaction again and it is one of my favorites to any of her performances. I love watching peoples faces the first time they hear her and your face just lit up man. Very nice reaction even a second time.

Disregard my prior comment as I don't believe you will take my advise. I will just give you some background on Angelica. Double pneumonia at 4 years old let to sepsis, a blood infection. This caused massive organ failure. She was placed on total (EKMO) life support for months. Her life was saved by a kidney transplant from her mother. She has been the Child Spokesperson for the National Kidney Foundation and The Sepsis Alliance. She has helped raise literally hundreds of millions of dollars for children's charities such as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the Miracle Network. Despite the scarring in her lungs She sings like an angel. She is truly a hero.

I found Angelica about 6 months ago, when she performed with Karolina Protsenko (violinist). I really like her. Her story where she was very sink when she was 4 and came close to losing her. Touched my heart. Then that voice. I do not even like this kind of music, but enjoy her. My style is more Amira Willighagen. Like I said I love this girl too

Love the reaction. I really look forward to the others you have in the pipe. There is alot of backstory to her so if you can, look up her hospital story at the age of 4. It shows how much more impressive she is considering the damage done to her lungs during that time.

I don't normally watch that show but for some reason I did that year and was so affected by her, which is just strange to say about a child, but she had me crying, so, there ya go. She's a very special kid and has been through so much struggle. I think that's why that song works for her, in a way that's different from how an adult would embody it, but just as powerful.

I thought exactly the same but a more knowledgeable fan informed me that in ANGELICAs case the judges had no more golden buzzers to give as already given to other artists .?

I think anyone singing that Girl is on Fire song should be automatically disqualified from just about anything. If I hear one more version of it, no matter how good it is technically, I shall scream.

Her parents stayed in the ordiance because her mom was heavily pregnant at the time. This song has 660 million views it's on Alicia Keys' facebook page under WOW. This video was removed from the A.G.T. page because of copyright, so they say, but Alicia Keys put it on her page. I think AGT were looking foolish, this was the largest viewed video they ever did. They removed at least three videos of 50 million too.

Im not agree about the hand, she do great and you forget today reality, these kids can now watch a lot of their prefered artist on KZfaq and mimic them and also integred their own personality. I even see is hand gesture like very mature for her age at one point.

You need to read her background history she about died her kidneys failing about that hair transplant for my mother and nothing about her is fake or put on she sings all over the world for the miracle hospital foundation her mother had to give her a kidney transplant she would’ve died just another words she has to go check test test all the time but this little girls voice is wonderful she gets to go to bed because it comes back on the champions grandmother she’s a real deal washer fell and she was little baby in the hospital second I’m dying but you do you live now and she has a firecracker read her story engineer held
