from his study/article...The Hittite cuneiform inscriptions mentions some of the notable Armenian Gods and Goddesses that made up the Armenian pantheon of Gods in the Mitanni Kingdom. The Hittite king Suppiluliuma (reigned between 1344 to 1322 BCE) ordered the recording of a peace treaty between himself and the Armenian king Šattivaz (reigned ca. 1350-1320 BCE), who represented the Hittite and Armenian kingdoms respectively. Suppiluliuma swears upon the great deities of Armenia and specifically calls upon Mithra to bless and protect the treaty of friendship and peace between the kingdoms of Hatti and Mitanni.As was noted, this treaty was made in the 14th century BCE, and this is the earliest recorded inscription that mentions Mithra as one of the supreme Gods of Armenia. This is roughly one thousand years before the God Mithra is mentioned in the Iranian inscriptions and the Indian Vedas...see below...

Despite his heavy accent, Georgi makes many great points and observations in a unemotional manner. I appreciate having fellow Armenians such as these men who care enough about Armenia to do something about it. I very much agree that without Armenia the diaspora is doomed, the problem i see is that many diasporans do not see this. Since they think Armenian culture will continue despite the loss of a homeland..they do not see the value of developing and defending Armenia. They are wrong but as we have seen many times, right and wrong get trumped by feelings and emotions.

23:08 wait a sec, talking about IT salaries compared to associate professor somewhere in the USA. First, probably that was your not the only income (there is always some side research, contract and so on), second the other private specialists were getting even more. But still all these High salary people are few compared to army of low salary people plus these with no job/salary So most people either getting money transfers or just scared to try change something in fear not to lose anything, plus Govt gets bumper credits to smooth hardship

Perhaps thinking along the lines of "territorial" states, such as those which require different laws in Australia. As for military, videos can have more potential than bullets. The borders could be more effectively protected by digital surveillance than invest into the arms departments... Great discussion, lots of truths said.

the main problem with armenians is that we are very individualistic. individualism and nationalism or patriotism dont go hand in hand! cant build a strong nation as a result! as much as i love armenia we armenians are doomed to fail as a nation becuase we would still choose individualism over nationalism! the best thing we can do is rent all armenia for some other country as we sit back and take the monthly fee lol!

Starting from 41:50 about the nation army, the militias, the necessity to have a modern defense system based on the mass participation of the people, etc is a great idea, a little late, but a must. The problem is that there is an significant and influential part of the elite, especially within the current administration, that considers that Armenia's best guarantee of defense is its indefensibility, that spending on military is a waste of money and that Armenian society should move away from militarization. It's a respectful point of view that we may disagree with, but a point view nevertheless. People thinking that way (including the secretary of national security, the Premier himself and many others) should have the courage to voice, structure, and present their vision transparently to the people. Armen Grigoryan did that in 2018, when he cancelled the nation-army concept pushed forward by Vigen Sargsyan. I disagree with Armen but appreciated his honesty at the time, the balls to basically say: "Armenia doesn't need additional defense spending, and the regular Army is enough to defend us" (2020 showed it wasn't). My impression is that this administration doesn't have the courage to present its 'demilitarized Armenia' vision to the people, fearing to lose their support. Instead, it pushes its vision silently and under the cover of catching the Sashiks, Robiks, and Serjiks of this world ... and that naturally offers them an ocean of support from the population, or as they say a carte blanche, to do whatever they want with the country ... as long as Sashik's 50 is returned to the people!
@HarrySinanian
@HarrySinanian 2 жыл бұрын
There was a time courage could not be bought, so the world developed technology to bypass the limits of humanitarian responsibility, now do the math on populous and budgets and the notion of having military might and a defence force are a long way from co-existence. Also, a "civil" defence force is just that, it is a supplement to dedicated military (which abstains from civil matters as much as possible) care for local civil issues, such as logistics etc, they don't get sent to front lines and the world just say a new age of strategic wars... Build and launch a satellite instead.

Can anyone clearly say, what international law declare as territorial integrity of the Armenia? Where our borders start and where they end, everyone use this question as a subject for bargaining? Can we have our own sea ports on Black Sea for not being dependent from turkey or anyone else, what is not a territorial question and is more question of national security including economy and logistics. Turkish government is never going to give a compromise to Armenia, there are no even intentions in this way so they do not have any will to solve the problem, preferring populism, time waste, false talks for hiding an Armenian issue.
