He did not come to bring peace, but sword of truth. ACIM is literally the work of the devil to create a false Jesus. Sin, and Suffering removed, contradicts the bible, no clear answer on free will. "Everything is an illusion, and EGO", even the part of self separating EGO is still EGO. Moral and Spiritual relativism is worship of SELF.

The fragmentation of Jesus’ Message is antithetical to His Message. It results in darkness upon darkness. What is needed now is unity. “So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.” Unity results in Light.

So if not the Messiah, was Jesus a teacher to show us we are all equally sons of God? Are the Jewish Old Testament believers correct that we still await a Messiah? According to ACIM???

Robert, I’d be interested in hearing you speak about the Gospel of Mary which seems to me to closely depict a “Course” Jesus, i.e “there is no sin”.

I was a Christian before I have memory. I always questioned things in the bible that made no sense. I was relieved when I figured out Paul was not equal to Jesus as a teacher. And when I realized man has disagreed about the bible since it was created, I was set free to question everything. So I am thrilled to have "grown up" and let myself question the bible against what my spirit has always understood. As always, thank you for being a light in the haze. (I grew up Baptist. Taught for years in Catholic schools. Have attended several protestant denominations as an adult. I taught Sunday School and VBS for about a decade. I was asked to present classes to Sunday School teachers at a National Conference. Still attending church now, but I often correct the pastor in my mind. HA! ) I gained from the workshop, and I have also gained from this follow-up video.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to you both. I think we can even go further in recognizing that no one, his friends, his family, his disciples in the day he walked on earth ever called him Jesus. I am not a scholar, just a learner. But the man that was crucified was not known as Jesus in the day.he walked the earth. I am loving "A Course in Miracles". I am also very thankful for the Circle of Atonement and both of you. 🤟😊👍

in esoteric christianity, jesus(the man) became the christ after the resurrection. a divine incarnation. according to the course, however, jesus must have accepted the atonement before the crucifixion. which means that his resurrection also took place before the crucifixion. since resurrection is understood in the course as synonymous with accepting the atonement. that means jesus must have become one with the christ before the crucifixion. could you see it that way? great stream thanks - greetings from germany

I am disappointed that the conversation does not recognize the ACIM JESUS perspective in acknowledging that the statements of the disciples reflect their perceptions and perspectives based on a mix of ego and spirit.

What a great conversation. Thanks It raises the important question of whether the transcripts of men can define Jesus. It is pride that traps the literalist and fundamentalist who want to set themselves apart, as chosen people. Also, I hear a profound theological premise in this; how much more effective is the teaching of unconditional love in unifying humanity by doing away with the boundaries that incite distrust and hatred. It seems the most powerful message of Jesus is ‘forgiveness’ that moment on the cross when blame was extinguished.

There is so much to unpack here. I love this topic. I was born and raised. Catholic then became a Christian, but none of it seems correct to me. I have now come to the realization that Jesus purpose was to let us know what we can all achieve. I believe his purpose was to die on the cross, so that we could live without judgment of God and to know that God loves only unconditionally. Without Jesus, we would just look at ourselves as sinners. I think Jesus represents forgiveness of our sins, which is the first step to unconditional love. In order to love one another unconditionally, we must forgive them all our grievances. It is only true path to unconditional love.

I came across your channel by chance and find it interesting that I did. I am presently enjoying your synopsis of a course in miracles but then saw this and am also watching it. I then felt compelled to comment now - not something I often do. This is why: I met Jesus without having to die to do so. We spoke and it involved what has been apparently coined as an After Death Communication. This one involved my mother and two brothers. It is a story and it was not the first time that my mother contacted me physically after her death in 2003. It happened once before when she suddenly appeared at the foot of my bed to tell me she was okay. However, I had never seen Jesus in person in my human life until 2019, when I met him in a place the he had apparently constructed for me to have a visit with my mother and two brothers. It was apparent to me that Jesus was using his power to make the event happen. In fact, before seeing him in his human form, he initially appeared in his spirit body which is a very large oval shaped form about 8 or 9 feet tall. It is an overall bright white color with bright yellow (like the sun) principally in the center and then scattered in bits here and there. Intermixed. I cannot put everything that happened here but what struck me the most besides feeling his power was that he looked nothing like anything depicted in earth. He does not look European at all and he does not have long hair either. Rather he looks 100% middle eastern with dark curly hair 2-3 inches from his head, very dark brown eyes with long eyelashes, black beard close to his face, thick eyebrows well-groomed, 6’4 - very tall, and he has tan skin. He is neat and well-groomed. He is exceedingly handsome and it is my goal to try to draw / paint what he really looks like since he was standing right next to me for quite some time letting me just look at him. Needless to say, I also saw the spirit forms of my mother and two brothers. Interestingly they were not white. Rather they were all royal blue and oval shaped too but shorter at around 4 feet tall. Again, this is a story and part of a larger one I plan to share online at some point. I just wanted to share it with you here for some reason. I’ll leave it there for now.

Thank you for this honest, courageous, deep-diving conversation! To me Jesus’s teachings were high-jacked and intentionally inverted and militarized for control by Big Religion (initially mostly one State-run religion), starting in the early centuries of our current era. I spent years unable to articulate to myself what hit me as so deeply wrong about Religion, as I had experienced it (including learning about aaaaall the wars and other killings, etc. that took place by Religious dictate), which is really painful, until I ran into a book by Obery Hendricks, entitled something like “Jesus the Revolutionary and How His Teachings Have Been Corrupted”…. That sent me on a wonderful and continuing quest for the true spirit of Jesus outside of centralized, curated edited/redacted, translated, forced-together narratives. And here I am soaking up this wonderful conversation between two apparent kindred spirits. Thank you 🙏

dear ones, thank you for this clear illumination. you raised very important points. since you mention the q-gospel i would like to learn if the nag hammadi scriptures as the gospel of thomas and mary magdalene play any role for your studies and researches and if they are philosophically in line with the course in miracles? what is your standpoint on the apocrypha? 🙏
@CircleOfAtonement
@CircleOfAtonement Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. Very quickly here....Gnosticism - no. Gospel of Thomas - yes somewhat. Gospel of Mary - no. The apocrypha in general is fascinating but not all that relevant to us as Course students. Essentially what we're interested in is whether there is a direct connection to either the Course or to the historical Jesus. So much of the material - including material in the Bible itself - is not only not connected to him, but teaches the opposite of his message.

I’m interested in your personal negative interpretations of certain words (and remember: these words are translations by people who are interpreting original source through the veil of their own life experience) such as ‘woe to you,’ ‘cursed into eternal fires.’ I read those words as meaning we are completely responsible for our own terror and internal shame based on our choices of behavior and thinking. Jesus is not saying that the storm is coming from the outside. He is merely saying that as a natural result of what we choose, we will be tormented in our current life. And the current moment always feels eternal.

This message was spot on. I grew up in a Christian fundamentalist cult where Revelations was used to terrify the 'sheep' (which we were taught to proud of) as God's flock. It was a doomsday group where we could not question any of the inconsistencies of the Bible. After growing up and leaving the Worldwide Church of God, I obtained an education (lawyer) and have been on a spiritual path to find the real Jesus who embodied the Matthew 25 philosophy of service, but not the separation of righteous and evil. Your explanation of this was very helpful to my journey. All in all, a great video. I did have an issue with one of your sponsors, a right-wing anti-choice group antithetical to what I see God or Christ to be about. Since I'm new to your channel and just exploring your ideas, I cannot reconcile the amazing messages I've heard so far with your choice of sponsors. I pray that you will ask God as to the need to have that type of sponsor.

From a goats eye view and I am a goat, we only have one moment and that moment is forever. We can only be here now. We can remember the past and anticipate the future but can only do that now, in the present moment. That now is forever. When I am harboring resentment and justifying my anger I am miserable. When I turn toward forgiveness I get a sense of peace. The misery of anger and judgment will last as long as I welcome it, perhaps forever if that is my choice. I do think Jesus comes with a sword. I can't be a jackass and expect the peace and love of heaven. I think you are spot on when you point out this isn't a battle against others. For me it is learning to grow into the love for all. It cuts like a sword through my bs and justifications.
