Many are not aware that the rear vision mirror is auto dimming. It depends on the amount of ambient light when the ignition is turned on. There is a hole to let in ambient light at the back of the mirror and you should see the green light on the sensor on the front of the mirror. Dimming does not take place when reverse gear is selected.
