My first tank wasn't as colorful. I was an edgy 90's punk rock teen, so it was black gravel, a sword plant in the middle of the 20g, stocked with Zebra Danio, Glass cats, Julii or false Julii Corydoras and a dwarf frog. A very black and white tank to match the only colors I ever wore. 😅

My first tank was a 10 gallon with black gravel and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. 45 years later I still have the creature although it's not in a tank.

I really don’t remember the 10gal set up I had, but I do remember the 29gal I got after I broke that 10gal, It was considered as a birthday present when I turned 15. That 29 had blue gravel and bottom filter, a hob filter, a handful of plastic plants that had earth tone colors and a skeleton bubbler sitting and drinking out of a barrel. I had it stocked with mollies, platy’s, angel fish, black skirt tetras, tiger barbs, neons and all other kind of tropical fish until I bought my first Oscar when I was 17.

My first tank was a 3gal with natural gravel and a hide and a few plants for a betta, it wasn’t the worst thing ever but I did a fish in cycle. Now I have 6 planted tanks between 10 and 29gal breeding koi swordtails,orange pumpkin shrimp, and white clouds

I set up my first aquarium around 2 years ago. At the time I knew very little about nitrogen cycle, plants,filtration and so on, I did my research for about 7 months before setting up the tank now i know what im doing and i can say that most of my knowledge comes from your channel as well as John and Lisa from KGTropicals so thank you so much for all the content ❤ I have learned tone. No my parents made sure it had natural pea gravel and a bit of wood with some moss attached. We tried plants but the goldfish used to eat them unsurprisingly 😅
