Like it boils down to around three or four modes, with some indicators for his jackpot chances of that specific roll. Everything else is just complex yapping.

Hanami was awesome. Even they were able to get Gojo’s guard down for a second in season 1

That’s the point. Think about warriors who learn a bunch of techniques only to die in circumstances where they don’t use 60% of them.

Worst part about it is Hanami was going through character development too. It was starting to appreciate combat.

I think gege purposely kills off characters before they reach their best, basically to say that potential and power alone isn’t enough sometimes you just die. Hanami could have done a lot more but that’s part of the tragedy, that “could” means nothing.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised that Meti didn't mention it, cuz when you break it down, domain's are just streamlined reality marbles. Both are the highest level of barrier techniques from their worlds, both are created around a combo of the user's mental landscape/technique, and they only differ in that expansions are less costly, considerably easier to learn and use, but are far more limited in what they can do, provide fewer sub-abilities and have stricter rules (tho some, like hakari and higuruma's domains, could def be reality marbles as they are).

Gege actually is a huge fan of the Nasuverse and you could tell that it really is based off of Reality Marbles

Tbh Dagon was pretty weak without his domain but that's because he was a newborn curse

Eh? Part of the issue is that the trio of Jogo, Hanami, and Dagon each had pretty weak mindsets... and each also had some bad moments. Dagon was like worried about Naobito and Nanami to the point of using domain early... Hanami was honestly not doing that well against Yuji and Todo constantly getting smacked around they were just tanky... And Jogo somehow didn't even kill Maki and Nanami despite trying to; and just after his loss to Gojo had lost alot of his confidence.

I've never seen the Disaster Curses as weak. Hanami maybe (Since Todo and Itadori beat her into the ground as a first and third year, neither of which have a domain, and only one of which has a [non-damaging] technique), but Dagon? He would 100% have killed two well established side characters, the head of one of the 3 clans, and one of the 3 main characters, if Toji hadn't pulled up. Jogo managed to get Sukuna to actually compliment his power and potential. None of them were weak by any means.

@@cookiecraze1310 eh, Toji showing up definitely shortened the fight but honestly... Dagon probably was losing that fight either way assuming Jogo doesn't stop it. Toji showed up right as they were gonna escape the Domain... Which would've been a big nerf, since not only do they lose their domain amp, they then also have their technique burned out for a while, and Megumi due to their domain being incomplete don't. And Totality Dog, was able to hurt Hanami, who's tankier than Dagon... Especially post domain weakened Dagon. So they may have made a comeback. But hard to say.

Doubt that, since most sorcerers had their domains boiled down to "one-hit attack" as it's the most assured trump card.

I still think it's wild that the two main differences between the JJK world and the real one are: 1.) Cursed Energy exists. 2.) It's possible to hatch a Ditto.

@normal6483 and the demon slayer anime came out at least a year earlier since the same chapter had a toy demon slayer sword that was released as a tie in for the anime (which came out in 2019 irl but jjk is set in 2018)

Since it's the premier technique of one of the Big Three Clans, and the other two are Limitless + Six Eyes & Ten Shadows, it's got to be something pretty damn good. Blood Manipulation hasn't really measured up so far, and the only one who has used it to any effect was Choso, who has the hax of having blood that is both unlimited and highly poisonous, which normal users couldn't accomplish. As it stands, the only way Blood Manipulation can be good enough to be Big Three material is if it's busted in a way we haven't seen - and my guess is that it's the domain that did it. And my best guess for a broken Domain Expansion for Blood Manipulation would be allow the user to manipulate the blood of anyone inside of it. After all, domains work by enveloping anyone inside with the technique, and since the technique involves manipulating blood (a physical substance that isn't made of cursed energy) it wouldn't make sense for the blood to teleport to the target the way other techniques do. But manipulating another person's blood is exactly in-line with an inherited technique of the Big 3 clans - Projection Sorcery does something pretty similar.

Simple domain and reverse cursed technique are completely independent of a sorcerer’s innate technique. As for max techniques and domains, I think technically yes, but most sorcerers either don’t understand their technique well enough or don’t explore all possibilities meaning they can’t conceptualize what their domain or maximum technique would look like.

@@davidreljac1707 That is what I meant. It’s a skill that hypothetically any sorcerer could learn, but still requires a ton of talent and skill to actually achieve.

@@benji5320 Right, sorry about that. Seeing as "technique" in JJK is mostly referring to the CTs, I get confused when people talk about actual skill techniques, not Cursed Techniques. Maybe if Gege or TLs decided a better term, I wouldn't be as confused as I am.
