Good explanation on strong Hybrid and mild hybrid. But with difference of 6 KMs less mileage in Neodrive/mild hybrid compared to Strong Hybrid. It is worth taking Strong Hybrid. But hopefully cost difference will not be a lot, not more than 2 Lakhs. Other disadvantage with Strong Hybrid is it is not AWD or 4WD.

Good explanation, but I feel by considering price factor and complex technology in hybrid need to evaluate our driving pattern if mostly office to home then regular EV like nexon / tigor is the best if highway driving involve then diesel is the best for example Tata Altroz can easily manage 20 plus average on road.

Good tech explanantion of the different engines. for the mild hybrid variants, i have few questions: 1. How good is the Maruti Engine? Because Quality of Toyota and Maruti Suzuki is significantly different. 2. For a customer like us, it feels like Maruti Suzuki cars and Toyota NeoDrive is same? Then what did Toyota do special for this variant? 3. After listening to Suzuki engine, most people will go back to other comepetitors. So is it better to buy Maruti? I am confused!

Please elaborate on proposed Diesel Engine Ban & how it would influence the decision to buy it.

I think hybrid cost factor is a huge negative, plus the headaches of battery maintenance.. the huge negative about any hybrid car is that it becomes useless if the battery is gone, it cannot work on fuel engine alone. If I pay 2 lakhs extra for hybrid over normal, the money i save with extra mileage is still negligible. Only for heavy urban user, there is benefit is cost saved due to good mileage, otherwise hybrid is a total waste. Yeah the good thing is, less pollution.
