Happy Labor Day, and you and Nate did just that, laboring in making the new add on to the garden around your pool. Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see it with the stones. It will look so nice. Don't know how you worked out in this heat. It was so hot here today in Ohio pretty much like your guys weather. I can't work out in it. Just to hot for me. Lol😊 I love cutting out grass ways so satisfying to me. My husband doesn't like me adding on but I love. it he says I'm to old to keep doing that lol I'm only 72 just turned 72 the 27 of Aug. I keep telling him that as long as I can do it, I will keep on doing it 😅 I think I will know when to stop. I just love working in my gardens, and you know a girl needs more room to add in more plants, lol😂. Sweet of Nate to help you. ❤ have a great rest of your evening. God's blessings ❤🇺🇲❤😊

Looks good! I would suggest putting a little stone at the bottom of your steps. This would allow the mower to get all of the grass with no trimming necessary! Game changer for me!

Your gardens in summer and autumn are so beautiful. Nate seems to be getting more comfortable having a part in the movies. It good to see his character blossoming. Looking forward to the watching the work this fall and winter in the secret garden. thank you for posting about poison ivy in past movies. I was able to recognize it in my own garden this summer. With the help of a glove and a plastic bag; I removed it from my yard and all because of you teaching me what I needed to look out for.

I'm a senior gardener in zone 5 Canada and my seasonal weather behaves just about identically to yours. I've been following you for a year or so and just love your sweet nature and teaching style, not to mention your beautiful landscaping results. I made the mistake of trimming my boxwoods in September, one year, which stimulated new growth during a few more weeks of warm Autumn. But the tender new growth didn't survive the winter and in the spring it was winter burned (grayish white) and I had to cut it all off. No harm done, but just a sad sight when I was looking forward to a lush green beginning in spring. P.S. I watch Coco, too. My cat thinks he's a vegetarian and thinks I've "ordered in" just for him if I bring flowers in the house so I don't do cut flowers, but I love learning from your sister's videos. More Max please!

Nice to see Nate on camera. The boxwoods are perfect for that spot. The rocks along the decking really adds a lot visually in addition to being functional. Wondering if you could stack the stones so that they don't have a gap between them and the bottom of the deck and have stacked stone on the sides of the lower stairs as well. It would keep critters out from under the deck as well as looking more cohesive.

Hi Jes, I too dread what comes after the autumn, (zone 5 equivalent in Ontario Canada). Although we are also having a heat wave and I should be inside I ended up working for 4 1/2 hours in the garden doing some cleanup, adding more compost and mulch to all my gardens and recently planted green gem boxwood, and knowing I had a video of yours to watch along with your music! Your new garden bed is going to look terrific. Just keep an eye next spring and you may want to spray some preventative Btk so that the boxwood moths don’t get your boxwoods as they did for many of us! Also keep an eye so that you don’t have any unwanted critters go live under your deck now that you have the big stones there . 👏🌸❤️🇨🇦

My, you work so hard. So glad Nate helped you. That looks so nice with the boxwoods planted by the pool. I can't imagine what it would be like to have rocky soil. We don't have that in Kansas where I live. Those big rocks are sure special. We have to pay quite a lot for rocks that size. Thanks for singing for us while you worked.

Boxwoods look great! Stones too. We use to go on country cruises and gather rocks from the piles farmers set at the corners of the field. I think they appreciated us. 😊 I lined my long bed with limestone I gathered along a river here. I agree with you about stretching Summer. Our Iowa Winters are like yours. Cold, snowy, icy and too gray and white. I want color! . And I miss gong barefoot. lol

Love it! Great job! I wish I had your energy! But, come Friday I’ll be off of work for a week and I’m hoping to make a new garden bed to plant my hydrangeas in… although I’m having trouble trying to decide exactly where and what shape to make it! I need to get it figured out tho because I have plants lingering in their nursery cans & that’s never a good thing! The weather should be cooler later on this week compared to today so that will be good and I won’t feel so guilty for not doing it today! Glad you got your garden task completed! The box woods look great in their new location. I'm in South Louisiana, and I feel totally the opposite way about summer. This has been a very hot summer, with hardly any rain. I lost some evergreens that was well established. Anyway, love your "movies", and your humble spirit.
