Digging Science

Күн бұрын

On this new years Fossil Hunting trip, my fiancee and I are were shark tooth hunting when we unexpectedly discovered some large Ice Age bones including two Mastodon Teeth. For every 100 Megalodon teeth found by fossil hunters and paleontologists, maybe a single Mastodon tooth will be found. They are as rare as dinosaur bones and are sometimes found artifact and arrowhead hunting as the animals lived around springs and other resources that humans would eventually value. We hope to loan these awesome teeth to a museum's fossil collection in the near future.
Through exploring, Fossil hunting, and artifact hunting, we can make a physical connection to the history around us. We are passionate about that connection and want to share it with others. If you value this content, consider supporting us on Patreon so we can help others “dig science.”
/ diggingscience
We plan on hunting for a diversity of fossils all throughout the US this year with other fossil hunters such as Paleocris, Wildkyle, Everdayimshoveling, Ancient Artworks, Shark Teeth and Fossils and Bone Valley Collections. We hope to find beautiful Megalodon teeth, gems and minerals, great white shark teeth, artifacts, arrowheads, and megafauna creatures like mammoths and mastodons. We will also include videos on how to fossil hunt in Florida and explore discussions on some of our favorite topics in paleontology, archeology, and geology!

it’s an army cups canteen, worn on webbing, the green army water bottles, 1 litre fit inside and the whole assembly fits into a water bottle carrier. Worn on a H harness, seen in late 50s all the way through to the 2000s, worn by US and Other armies.

It was difficult to see this video as anything other than an extended scene of blissful domestic tranquility set in an idyllic garden. Two people in paradise- one bravely and relentlessly bringing home the gravel, one cleaning the catch, prepping the table and storing the results for more dark and stormy times. I just can't figure out what those huge teeth represent, but I'm working on it.

Something wrong with my spit I guess. It only kept my diving mask clear in cold water for a minute. Then another diver told me about Close-Up toothpaste as anti-fog film! The gel matrix in that toothpaste is the exact same gel they sell in dive shops for too much money. You simply smear Close-Up toothpaste on the lens, rinse, done, and you never need to flood your mask at depth for your whole dive!
