This is one of the best Openings to cartoon I've ever seen. The fact that Danny Elfman composed the theme music makes it even more epic.

Alot of people hated the tv show, and I do not understand why. Someone hated the show, because there's a girl in there that cusses alot. I remember watching the show when it comes on, and I think I did hate that Alice character, but I could not hate the show just for the hatred of one character, but if it was the whole cast, that's worth hating the show for. I also hated the villians, but I think that's what the villians are there for. The Dilbert magazine was popular, and that's why he continues to be on the magazine. I think I also heard about the comic book of it being popular.

I would have love to see a Dilbert cartoon reboot someday . It seem that it could have worked today in Netflixs,or Hulu, there was even talks of a live action movie back in 2010, but sadly because the creators latest statements make it that any interest in Dilbert might be dead.

This is probably one of the best animated intros ever...because its epic and yet sums up the office bound, slightly off beat nature of the show. I used to think Dilbert was essentially an extreme parody of the workplace...and then I went to work for a large insurance company and it was like...ohhh...this actually exists? True the management weren't as bad as the pointy haird boss but not far off...I will never forget a meeting we had to attend about 'positivity circumplex' diagrams...

One of the first adult cartoons I saw growing up alongside SIMPSONS, FUTURAMA, and THE PJs. They always aired these sort of brilliant shows on Sky One when it was still good in its heyday in the UK. Seen reruns on FTN, never gets old.

0:44 This bit always got to me when I was a kid, how it zoomed out and there was just… so much. I always felt a mix of wonder and despair when I watched that part. It's not even the fact that it's all office cubicles, which is depressing on its own, but that was irrelevant to me. It was just the scale of there being that many in such a small space, so that the entire "Dilbert" logo felt like a whole universe unto itself.

Funny thing, nowadays Buffy, Angel and all the vampire franchise knock-offs have become at best just a curiosity of the early turn of the the millennium with no real value beyond base entertainment and at worst a source of embarrassment for grown up people who pretended to be "vampires", Dilbert on the other hand is still used worldwide as a reference in both economics, social and work environment and technology in newspapers and educational texts, and yeah, he still makes everyone laugh.

All these answers are kind of poor so here's the actual reason. It's too expensive. Dilbert was in a league with several other cartoons that were produced with the express purpose of riding the wave created by The Simpsons. A lot of them were decent and a few made their way to Adult Swim where they would get a second chance but most of these shows were cancelled because the networks funding them found animation too expensive when compared to live action productions. The profit margin wasn't there so they got the boot. Family Guy and Futurama was saved by Adult Swim. The Critic and Duckman had a respectable run though.

Back in the early 2000s, this aired in Canada on Teletoon. However, it was NOT in their teen block (The Detour on Teletoon) or their adult block (Teletoon Unleashed!). It was part of their weekend "family" block alongside "For Better or For Worse" and "Redwall" (and later "Silverwing").

Its probably because really horrible people meat ride the creator after he came out as a huge racist. People on the right have no life so when a racist pops up they all rush in to support them. Nipsey hussles murderer is the perfect modern day example, kyle fuckface the mass shooter is another. No life loser, right leaning voters, prop those people up on a pedestal. Just learned this intro won an Emmy. The idea was proposed by Scott Adams, but there wasn't enough room on the Emmy application for his name, so he didn't receive it with everyone else. Kind of unfair.
