Dimash stands 6’3”, dear Rene. Also, he is notoriously private. When asked in a recent interview why he doesn’t talk about his private life, he responded, his listeners “have my music, they have me.” In the future when he has children, he said he will not parade them in public either. What a gem our dear Dimash is. In celebration of his 29th birthday, May 24, Dimash released a new composition, Omir, dedicated to his Dears. In his own words: “Omir - It is a work whose melody and lyrics first emerged from my inner world. A piece of music on the occasion of my birthday. I dedicate it to all my listeners who encouraged me to stand against both the fierce waves on the water surface and the raging storm. This work is about my life.”

My 87 year old sister and I have been listening to Dimash for 5 years and you are far and away the best reactor and analyzer of Dimash. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. All our best to you. FYI, at his Almaty concert the very next song he performed after Story of One Sky was his first Spanish song, El Amor En Ti, which you might enjoy for its creativity.

You need to watch him sing it at the Almaty concert. I can't remember if it is in part 1, 2 or 3. I'm sure someone can tell us here. The expression on his face when he finally looked up still upsets me. He just left the mic on the stage and walked off. I think emotionally he was exhausted. Those fast drums at the end were accompanied by a lot of flashing lights. We were standing near some speakers so there was vibration too. It felt like bombs were exploding and all I could think of was Ukraine and people hiding in basements. It only really hit me when I returned home a few days later and watched some videos.

I honestly love your reactions to Dimash. I loved part one and also love part two. You are extremely honest with your reactions and you can see that his music and artistry has a deep impact on you. I don't need to forgive you for your first reaction to his live One Sky performance as there is nothing to forgive as that was your first reaction to this song and it was honest 😊 I also love how you are extremely knowledgeable and explain the techniques that he's using and how his music makes you feel. Another amazing reaction. Please don't let any negative comments get in the way of posting more reactions. If you could bear this song again I would highly recommend watching the music video to ONE SKY. It is about 14 minutes long but to have the music video with this song is absolutely so powerful with a powerful message from Dimash. Much Love from Wales U.K 🥰🥰🥰

Greetings from France

I have watched a reaction to this song that was over an hour. Most of the reactions are around half an hour. So don’t worry about taking too long. You really need to watch the music video. Even if not for us. It is beautiful and moving and you will definitely cry. But it is so important. A call for peace and showing the horrors of war. It is something where the music actually takes a background role to what you watch on the screen. Dimash’s message (as you saw from the concert) is that we all live under one sky. We need to stop fighting each other and killing our world. I hope his message continues to spread.

I perfectly understand that your brain, your own body reacts in an uncontrollable way and penetrates the depths of your heart, it is a process that takes time but that in each reaction it will be overcome and each time you will love the human being with the voice of an angel that in each one of his performances tells us a story, be it of love, or impotence towards wars and about the union of the human race regardless of religion, skin color, or social status. We all live under the same sky, and talking about respect and tolerance is a mission of Dimash. Don't try to understand how he gets to the notes, or how he is capable of transmitting and making us feel the inexplicable feelings 😅 Let's just enjoy this gift of life by being able to enjoy the music of our Kazakh prince.Beautiful reaction, very emotional.❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘😘

Now that you have been emotionally involved in his singing "The Story Of One Sky", watch the full music video. It puts the lyrics to the visual story. Epic. You WILL cry. You do NOT have to do a reaction video for us, watch and listen to it on your own. It's too important for you to miss out on it and it's effect. Your next extravaganza performance that is more than just a song should be "Stranger" New Wave 2021. Another real story telling performance. Be well, be happy.

Hello Rene-Dear, great that you are watching the video to the end. It was very important to me. When a vlogger or vocal teacher skips prelude or the end of a performance, I always feel a bit like Dimash is being wronged and doesn't deserve such ignorance. (No musician deserves that) Maybe I'm acting recklessly like a teenager...but that's how I feel. Yes, Dimash's songs are often very moving. They touch your heart and penetrate deep into your soul. So you carry a piece of Dimash inside you. Isn't that wonderful?

Loved both your reactions and knew that the Dears would bring you back to the reaction table to finish off the live version😊. I also admire him for the courage of using blunt and unadorned language, which, especially given his nationality and geopolitical vicinity to current warring can become dangerous. This story is like a foreboding (apropos ‘the bard’), since he started writing it over three years ago. He is a real patriot and loves the independence and peace his people have gained after a long and bloody history of forced “wandering” and subjugation. Dimash knows what he’s singing about…BTW, his agility on stage doesn’t lead on that he is a big man (6’3”)!

Oh, Rene, please react to his El Amor en ti, the Love in you (Sp.), it was a part of the Almaty concert earlier this year. Enjoy! (as you have probably realized by now, Dimash does not do many trivial covers, and his own songs carry very profound message and the context is his multi-faceted talent and work ethic in our, increasingly anti-human, environment. BTW, I think it was his Birthday, yesterday, and thank You.)

This song is the soundtrack for a 13 minute MV by the same name. It would make more sense if you had seen the video first. Dimash wrote this song, all of the rest of the sound track , the screen play and acted in it as well. If you do watch it maybe don’t make a reaction to it.
