Today we have Daididau from Dimash the legendary :) Similarities between Kazakh and Turkish was so nice. And similiar folkloric elements were fantastic.

Dimash is the ONLY singer on the planet that gives me tears, shivers, goosebumps, heart and breath stopping everytime I listen to him, he must be an angel as NO singer ever did that to me, he deserves a Grammy, Oscar and many more to come!

@Coffee & Reactions thank you brother. It's so nice to see your reaction, and your understanding some words from Kazakh, apparently there are many words from Turkish and Arabic. We are all one big family, Türk people. From your other reaction video, on Dimashq Qairan Elim, you've mentioned who you call Dede Korkyt - we call Qorqyt ata. Every time I hear qobyz i want to cry 😢 also i wanted to say that Ive seen some historical Turkish TV series, like "Uyaniş. Büyük Selçuklu", "Kuruluş: Osman" "Payitaht Abdulhamid", and I really liked them ❤️

I love DAIDIDAU when Dimash sings, such a beautiful song, such a beautiful voice. Thanks for your great reaction, i'm glad that you looked the whole video, most of the reactors looked only the song, they missing lots of information. Will you react to SAMALTAU Tokio jazz festival? 🙏 It's so beautiful. It's also in Kazakh language. Greetings from Belgium ❤

There is no particular meaning for the word Daididai in Kazakh, some people suppose that Daididau came from "Dedim Aidai-Au" that means "I said to you my moon-like love (or beauty)" Ai or Ay means Moon as in Turkish as far as I know Salem from Kazakhstan

Such a nice reaction! You were pleasantly surprised that you could understand some words. Kazakh has Turkic origins. The Dombra has two strings. You will enjoy his other Kazakh songs too I think. A Silenced Poet It begins like a fairytale: Once upon a time there was a poet who was very much in love with his wife. Her name was Zuleikha Kurmanbaykizi, and his nickname for her was “Daididau.” He was lied to when in prison that she had left him, and he wrote her this poem. He went back to her after he was released, but then he was rearrested and killed. The author of the song was Magzhan Zhumabayev. He was born in 1893 into a Kazakh Muslim family in modern-day Nur-Sultan and was given the name Muhammedjan Jumabayev at birth. For much of his childhood, Muhammedjan was exposed to Islamic poetry as his family was deeply religious. In his teenage years, he shortened his name from "Muhammedjan" to "Magjan". From 1905 until 1910, Muhammedjan (or Magjan hereafter) Jumabayev studied in a madrasah in the town of Petropavl, where he learned the Arabic, Turkish, and Persian languages. In 1911, He moved away from his home town and attended a madrasah in the city of Ufa, where he learned under the Volga Tatar classical writer Ğalimjan İbrağimov. In 1912 he began writing Kazakh poetry with the pen name "Şolpan". His poetry was written in the Kazakh language, which used the Arabic alphabet at the time. Within just a year, Magjan's works became highly popular among Kazakh intellectuals. During the summer and winter of 1917 he began taking part in the creation of Kazakh "Alash" party and Alaş Orda, a coalition of Kazakh nationalists who wanted a new national government that promoted Islam and was independent from their Russian overlords. Magjan was present at both All-Kazakh congresses as a delegate of Akmolinsk Oblast. Magjan moved back and forth between Petropavl and Ufa before finally settling in the Russian capital of Moscow. While living there, he translated the works of Lermontov, Koltsov, Balmont, Merezhkovsky, Ivanov, Mamin-Sibiriak, Maksim Gorky, Alexander Blok, Goethe, Heine and other poets into Arabic, Kazakh, Turkish, and Persian. After finishing his higher education in 1927, he returned to his hometown in Kazakhstan to work as teacher. Arrest: Because of the unfair accusation of being a Pan-Turkist member of Alaş Orda and a Japanese spy, Jumabayev was arrested in Petropavl and convicted for the 10-year deprivation of liberty.[2] Until his court date he had been staying in Butyrka prison, and later was sent to Karelia and Arkhangelsk Oblast. In 1934 Maksim Gorky and Peshkova received a letter from him and due to their intervention Magjan Jumabayev was emancipated before the appointed time. However, just half a year later he was arrested in Almaty again and executed by shooting of NKVD on 19 March 1938.(wikipedia)
