Dimash is from Kazakhstan He's not a product of the western commercial music industry. He first became noticed by a wider audience on this Chinese show called Singer. He first appeared as an unknown after being invited to fill in a slot in 2017. It is a competition show among known professionals. Dimash had garnered a reputation for winning amateur contests in Kazakhstan and Russia. They figured he would not last past the first song. He won 2nd place only because he was not Chinese...they say. Lol I think the pros had to save face most likely. They have since changed the rules. This performance was a return guest performance in 2018. All his performances you must check out. His first song was SOS. After that performance ...he was shocked he would bodyguards in public. He has since shot straight up. Famous billionaire composer Igor Krutoy came out of retirement write for and collaborate with Dimash. If you continue to react to Dimash, you will see him accompanying Dimash at the piano. Together they created masterful pieces and performances. Dimash got held back during the pandemic, but never stopped producing for his fans "Dears" .

Dimash is an independent singer. He has his own production company and to date he has not signed with any major entertainment company. So he doesn't have a big company to promote him on radio and television shows in the West. He has said many times that he prefers to remain free to sing whatever he wants however he wants, that his creative freedom must be fully guaranteed in any commercial arrangement. I've been listening to Dimash for quite a few years now. I'm 61, and this young man in my opinion, is the best singer I have ever heard. All my life I've been into music & have never heard anyone like him. He is so talented & humble. Do you know that he donates all the many flower bouquets he's given at his performances to hospitals, the elderly, anyone he can bring some joy to. He is also a peacemaker, he speaks for human kind & peace any chance he gets. You should let your wife hear the other songs you've reacted to & I sure hope you will react to more.

Dimash is very famous in Kazakhstan, China, Russia and other Asian and post Soviet countries. But he wasn't promoted on the west as much. He did have a sold out concert in NY in 2019 at Barclays center. Full arena almost without any promotion. Fans flew to NY from many countries. Right now, Dimash is working in the US so hopefully more people in western countries will discover him too. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦

Dimash has a huge following all over the world. He has only done one concert in the U.S. in New York. Unfortunately, he is not played on the radio, so a lot of people do not know about him. Which is so disappointing. Just like KPoP from South Korea. It is huge in the U.S. among the people who follow it. I think what they are doing with music, videos, live shows, etc. is not being done at all by any artist here. With the exception of a very few, I don't think we have many good artists here at the moment, it all more or less sounds the same. In part 3, Dimash does a live performance of "Story of One Sky" in which he sings with every ounce of his being and uniquely debuts his first composition in Spanish called "El Amor En Ti". His new movie video called "Together" is coming out on March Of 22nd and has a concert soon after in Malaysia. I have to listen to Dimash every day, especially when I want to go above the fray of greed, divisiveness and violence to a realm of beauty, creativity, kindness, unity, harmony and peace. Also listen to "Love is Like a Dream", "Stranger", "Ikanaide," and "Above Endless Dimensions". There are compilations of Dimash's performances in the "I Am Singer" contest on You Tube also.

Do you remember after the first reaction where we said "you ain't seen nothing yet"? And also it didn't matter what kind of music you used to like? Now you know :) At the end of the second verse, Dimash sings "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "Men (I) seni (you) suyemin(love)" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you very much" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Kazakh) runs in the song.

Dimash also sings on Singer 2017, All By Myself. It is done his way. He was just learning English as well as Mandarin so you will notice his English is a little flawed. Keep in mind he had a week to learn the entire song in English. There are so many great songs, I do not know where to start. Dimash is in LA at the moment and talking to top music people. So hopefully lots will come out of this. Dimash hasn’t signed with any US people as he wants to control his own path, not to be told what he should sing etc. he has great integrity. It is not all about the money for him.
