I've grown so tired of bands and artists who just sound the same, song after song. You never know what you're going to get next with Dimash. He can go from a song where he's giving it nearly all the range he has to a pop song that has you dancing in the kitchen to a song that's beautifully gentle, mid range with no explosion but you get to hear the silky rich tones of his lower register and each one sounds as good to me as the last.

This was one of the first songs I heard from Dimash ,it left me breathless and sobbing with emotion . I could not believe my ears . Dimash by the way is not small he is 6ft 3in tall and slim . Dimash always keeps me on the edge of my seat with this song. The original song is by Lara Fabian, she sang this song with more passion(after all, she wrote the lyrics for Adagio.) A really beautiful song. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time I feel like I forget to breathe and then burst into tears. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance really hit me physically🤯. In this performance you can see that I’m not the only one. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes in this performance. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. That's why he keeps the tone going for so long. Another very emotional song for you and your wife Amy is Daybreak also from The Singer competition. The 8th performance. I highly recommend you to watch the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel and then the one from Bastau. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen the Singer version before. As some Dear mentioned in a comment, I totally agree that it is always very frustrating when reactors jump on the Bastau version and don’t know the sad story of this song and don’t even try to activate the subtitles. I can understand that a lot of Dears prefer reactions to this version because it is just incredibly more powerful. In my opinion, however, it loses at bit of its impression, if you don’t know why he sings, the way he sings. This song tells a very sad but true story you can learn in the Gloria Wu video. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. Beside thag in the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. They performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. you won't truly appreciate Dimash until you see him live - his ability is SHOCKING..... & he is not small - he is a Big man.... Deep speaking voice, 6'3'' very long arms & legs, huge hands & feet & a jaw like an Anvil & that massive Jaw when he drops it & cranes his neck literally creates a cavern of space & with it he creates resonance like you can not believe especially w/ his low baritone register..... the Kid is a Machine - a kind, sincere Machine.....🤣🤣🤣 Greatest Vocalist who has ever lived & I say that w/ absolutely no hesitation.....
