The song was written by Igor Krutoy, the man at the piano. He is a genius in his own right and probably arranged that music for the orchestra. He is the richest music guy in Russia, if that means anything. And was so impressed by Dimash that he came out of retirement to write songs just for him. This is not one of them (it was already written and sung by others), but only for Dimash are so far; Ogni Pietra, Passione, Your Love, and just released I miss you. Happy listening! What can one say about Dimash. He is absolutely amazing. It’s just been a year since Dimash had his first solo concert in New York, at the Barclay Center. A young man from Kazakhstan sung to a full house, and fans from over 60 countries came together to watch his magnificent performance. It was electrifying, to see him perform live on stage. When he performs he actually becomes MUSIC. Thanks again for another wonderful reaction. Please continue to listen to more songs by this amazing young man. I promise you will not be disappointed. not going to comment much about Dimash, because ... it's, well, Dimash. more about the song itself. It was written by Igor Krutoi for the famous russian singer Alla Pugatchowa somewhere in the early 90s. She was an accomplished singer back then (she still has an iconic status today). I personally was never a big fan of hers (my parents are, I didn't spent a lot of time in the "east-block" myself, i was born there, but we moved as soon as it was possible after the collapse, I was a child still). That song was one of her most popular ones. She wanted a love song for her lover / soon-to-be-husband back then, and it's actually funny how things turned out since ;D Anyway... Igor Krutoi wrote the song. He is the bald guy on the piano. And he played it on the piano back in the days for Alla too - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qcuqedmnl63JZ5c.html He is one of the most accomplished song-writers in russia today. So, yeah, nowadays he works (and supports) Dimash and Diana Ankudinova. Check out the later out too, she is worth it, the voice is very, very unique, maybe start with her rendition of "Wicked Game". The russian "Estrada". It's basically russian pop-musik, mixed with some russian-core elements (not really "folk"-music, I don't know how to describe it properly). Then there is your typical pop-music, which is for the most part horrific ("popsa" as russians call it). Many russians tend to call it all "popsa" nowadays, but I would differ there... Pugatschowa is "estrada". Dimash and Diana would be counted as "estrada" too - but imo both are way too good for that. And both are technically "pop", but it would be a stretch to put them into the "normal" russian-pop ;) You can see "estrada" as some sorts of "pop-music that was made before the collapse of the SU, before it was... westernized" (yes, I know Dimash is from Kazachstan, and so were many people before him getting into the russian market) just my 2 ct enjoy the "band-maid" show, dude!

He's not acting. He once said that he was taught to have an image of the story of the song in his mind and to not let go of that image until the piece is over. In many of his songs, you can see it. He ends the song and then you see him release the image and return to the now. Also, you should watch his hands when he sings. It's as though his hands tells his voice where to go, especially when he does his fabulous runs. I always say if music could assume a human form, it would be Dimash. You should watch "Sinful Passion" - a 23 second climb to a high note and then a fabulous run down. And you'll see that release I'm talking about.
