Caleb you are almost right :D Vocaloid refers to the software where lyrics and melodies were input to create a synthesizer vocal. The software can stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. The anime character is actually a Moe anthropomorphism. However, personally I think nothing can beat real human expression both facial and vocal, and Dimash is a king of those.

I love how Dimash can react vocally with a human voice and match a " computer" voice. I'm not musically gifted in notes, sheet music, etc..but even I know that's INSANE!

It's very special that Dimash has gotten to sing this song a few times because China is very picky about who gets perform it. Just shows how much love they have for him!

Dimash is incredible as always. No matter whom he performs with, he adjusts his voice to blend with theirs and his “eastern” riffs are so creative! Btw, do you know that this song is considered a Chinese treasure. Foreigners are not allowed to sing it without special permission, which is granted very sparingly. The fact that Dimash has been invited go sing it three years in a row is a testament to the high regard with which he is held in China. He first performed this song in 2018 as a duet with Wu Tong (a Grammy award winner) for the New Year celebrations, then in 2019 as a solo (Jasmine New Era) and now with the vocaloid. Performing Jasmine was a great honor for Dimash, because it being a traditional song, foreigners are not really allowed to sing it. I read in the comments, you should react to Li Yugang and Dimash singing The drunken concubine and Diva DaLince. If you liked this you gonna love that one.
