For many centuries, Kazakhstan was subjected to invasion and oppression of the common people. As a result of struggle and loss, the Kazakh people developed a strong, brave, warlike character, while remaining a kind and merciful people. The burden of the past and hope for a bright future for the country, Dimash demonstrates his love for his native land, to the native people❤ 🇰🇿

@@user-zv8uq5eu8q Kazakhstan was formed as part of the USSR in the 20th century on a voluntary-compulsory basis. Previously, the Soviet government organized an artificial famine of the Kazakhs, several million Kazakhs died, repressed and shot most of the Kazakh elite and intelligentsia who demanded independence. The Kazakh people have a centuries-old history. The name of the ethnic group changed depending on the reign of the Khaganates. But as an ethnic group, the Kazakhs have always lived on their territory!

Thank you again for reacting to Dimash. This song is very special. It reflects Dimash’s love of his country. I read that Dimash’s generation is the first to live in a free and independent Kazakhstan. Dimash doesn’t take his freedom for granted, and he is such a good role model for young people in Kazakhstan God bless you and your loved ones!

It's so true. Kazakhstan is in a precarious position these days, trying to balance between East and West and bordering Russia. This is a video that you will be thinking about for awhile. Thank you for reacting to it. Take care, thank you for praying for me.

For me, this video needed repeated viewings to begin to understand the meaning! The part with blood and flames: Tempered - fired - steel is stronger than ordinary steel, and in the same way, we hope to emerge stronger than we were before our troubles and suffering. The light at the end indicates hope for the future; the key also changes from minor to a brighter major, offering a more optimistic view of things yet to come. Further information from ‘Dimash News’: “An incredibly deep in content, full of tragedy and sincere hope, and an emotionally piercing musical composition… In essence, the song “Qairan Elim” is like a prayer in which Dimash shares his personal experiences, his anxiety about the fate of his homeland and the whole world. For the most part, the idea was influenced by the coronavirus epidemic, which hit humanity and claimed millions of lives around the world’ .................. ‘....it is a message and a call to all people for good, positive thoughts. The belief that we will definitely overcome everything and cope with all ailments. The main thing is to believe in it and remain strong,’ Renat Gaissin and Dimash commented.”

Understandable felling. This song portraits Kasakstan as a nation that as recent as three decades ago got its independence. And Dimash up bringing and hes generation has been impacted by these events. So you might say its still a crude wound in this nations collective soul. Also baffling for thoose of us that are exploring different cultures through they're musical expressions.

"Sa ljubavlju prema tebi, domovino moja, molim za mir na Zemlji." Pesma je nastala tokom Covida. Ovo je Dimashev vapaj i molitva. Njegova je duša, široka poput kazahstanskih stepa, gorela od tuge, bola i brige. Video jeste šokantan za ljude koji misle, osećaju i brinu za budućnost ove planete. Hvala Vam na reakciji. Thank you for your reaction. Dimash shared, in the Almaty concert, that this was written to express the sadness and hope during the pandemic. This was also Dimash's directorial debut.

Exactly. Understanding the role of the pandemic in this song is critical. I think I have the remainder of this right right, but I'm sure some of the dears will amend this if I don't. Dimash suffered lost during the pandemic, including a professor that worked with him during his masters studies. I have always thought the musician falling from the piano (also the song's composer) symbolically represented that loss. There is a video of Dimash singing a song the professor composed with an image of the man in the background. Also, notice the black and white scenery turning to green at the end, probably symbolizing the hope of renewal. This is one of two songs written about the pandemic. The other is not as dismal; although, this one is one of his best, I believe. It is a powerful song.

Hello!, I love the sound of Kobyz, Dimash often uses it in some of his songs. I read that, according to legends, the sound of this instrument chased away all the bad things; sickness, death, ..., and I think the meaning of this song is not to forget the past to avoid it happens again, I could be wrong of course. I want to think it's also a hopeful song. I understand your feelings after listening to this song, I felt them similarly when I heard first time this touching song. Thanks for your prayers once again 👋

Dimash lost two mentors during Covid and he was absolutely broken. (Contrast this song with his optimistic We Are One at the beginning of the pandemic.) The song came to the brilliant composer (at the piano) while he was working in the studio with Dimash. He unhesitatingly fell into the water at Dimash's sudden direction. Dimash recalls the long difficult history of his beloved Kazakhstan and hopes for the future in this stunning mv filmed near Almaty. ❤

Dimash got you speechless again. He directed this MV, more like a mini movie. Yes, the scenery IS all Kazakhstan. He is a proud son of Kazakhstan and very patriotic. They were ruled by many different people in the past, like Gingus Khan (so technically they were considered part of China in the past during the Khan's rule over China and good part of Central Asia), Russia/Soviet Union among others. They finally declared their independence in 1991, so Dimash is very passionate about that. They came from worriers and nomads tribes. Very fierce in spirit, and immensely kind and hospitable people. Dimash has that special talent to bring out the spirit of the Kazakh people in these folk songs. You feel the love, the longings, the hopes and dreams in every word he sang. Love and respect for Dimash.

The history of Kazakhstan is filled with much war and bloodshed as the beginning of the MV portrays. The Russian Tsar conquered Kazakhstan at the beginning of the 19th century. Kazakhstan went through tremendous suffering and starvation from being forced to stop their nomadic way of life. Hundreds of thousands died. Attempted revolutions over the years also took the lives of many thousands. The conscriptions of Kazakh men by the Russians during the two world wars took the lives of 50% of the population. (The song Samaltau and Daididau are reminders of this.) So yes, the very recent independence when the Soviet Union collapsed under the weight of communist rule, is very precious to Dimash. He realizes his country balances on a razors edge between Russia and China and fears for his people. But, this MV came to be during the Covid epidemic and quarantine when Kazakhstan suffered through a heavy death toll. The song is a prayer for the earth and the Kazakh people to get through the very difficult time of the epidemic and also is a reminder to the people that hardship throughout the years has made the people strong enough to get through anything that is thrown at them. They are a very strong people.
