DR. KUDAIBERGEN He has just about completed his Doctorate, a PhD in Musicology, his major in composition, having completed 3 advanced degrees back to back, with honors, while simulataneously maintaining a succesful performing career. Until recently, all of his performances and projects ( the exception his time in The Singer competition, returned and immediately into school) have been carefully scheduled around his university studies. I don't know of another succesful world class performer who has accomplished anything like this. It is not only noteworthy, it speaks to his work ethic and dedication to his professionalism in his field. He is genuinely amazing.

Dimash has again, recently performed this song. But, This was his first performance of this Song at a gala "A Gift for Alla". The 70th Birthday of the original singer Alla Pugacheva. In a later interview, Dimash stated (I am paraphrasing what he said) that he sang an interpretation from a man's perspective and hoped that he honoured the song and orginal singer, as it deserved. Yes, Dimash... you did.

Hello, totally true with what you say, how complicated it is to sing in the low, soft, airy tones that Dimash has. And the great control of him. The fantastic performance of him. I could hear it in that tone all my life. Dimash sleeps no more than 5 hours a day, the rest is just work, and work.

I especially like listening to "Love is Like a Dream" when I'm walking through the park, while colorful leaves are falling, and I feel them under my shoes...🍂🍁... It became sort of my daily ritual to listen to Dimash's songs like that, but this one in particular. I just float away, I let it carry me, feel elevated and overwhelmed by emotions in a best possible way... His voice is so warm, tender and magical in this song... Mesmerizing. But he is like that. He gives every composition something special and unmatched.🔥

THIS is my second favorite after Autumn Strong, and that is sooooo hard to say because I love him in anything he does. I wonder what song you are thinking of because I don't see where you reacted to this before. I love everything about this man. The most extraordinary, gifted maestro ever. His total mannerisms here, his breathy sounds, how gorgeous he looks in that suit. Makes you want to fall in love all over again.

This is one of my favorite performances. I think it's because he uses so much technical prowess in service of a beautiful but fairly simple song. The 2017 version of Autumn Strong is similar in that regard.

Dimash utilizes his voice as an artist wields a brush to create the light and dark, the texture, and the colour that bring the canvas to life. I agree with you about the level of breath control he exercises when he sings pianissimo. Fun fact: From the age of 7 through adulthood, Dimash swam three hours per day, every day, as part of his vocal training to build stamina, lung capacity, and breath control. He still swims one hour per day, no matter where he is. Another example of his mastery of breath control is when he fades a note in his upper register. While fading a note could be accomplished by simply having the sound tech lower the volume, Dimash uses his control to make a higher note almost "shimmer" as it fades away. And this technique causes the listener to believe they continue to hear that note even after Dimash stops singing. I have only heard one other singer do this. Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé was well-known for her ability to make her upper notes "shimmer." I was fortunate to hear her perform Aida at the Met (Metropolitan Opera) in NYC in 1974.

Do you see how mature Dimash looks here. His trim burgundy suit and shirt. Casualy sitting on a stool. Starting in a bass whisper with very little movement. This time he’s a character in the song and sometimes he is the song as his eyes roll back into his head. Now, this is the main reason he looks 30 yrs old here. He’s really about 24 or 25. The reason why he looks older is his brow. His brow is furrowed. There are actual lines as in a furrowed brow. What’s going on here. Dimash has always been a chameleon. As good as lady Gaga appearing different from performance to performance. Part of this comes from his tv acting in 3 different series in Russia China ad his country. He’s also a high fashion model for sportsman and did men health magazine. I know actor he can show strain and seriousness. But what in the heck is going on. In the China show the first world performance he looks 15 and 16 yrs old but he’s 22 yrs old. Thanx for your reaction.

Igor wrote this song 25 years ago for Alla P. She sang it with a pop style and when Igor met Dimash. They reconstructed the song from a mans point of view and a ballad. It was introduced in this show as a tribute to her but since then has won numerous awards for both of them. This is one of my favorites of Dimash. If you see Igor and Dimash on stage it is a masterpiece. Thank you for promoting Dimash 😊.

Dimash is an inspiration: he is always trying things out of his comfort zone. Getting better even we tihnk he can't be better than he already is. This low notes in this song, it is like a jump from a ballerina, looks so soft, light and efforteless, but we know how much strenght and training she has to be able to do that. Hug from Brazil!

I love Dimash's version. ❤ I think he sung the best and most beautiful version of this song. His new video of this cover is also a must watch, especially because it takes place after a long time of quarantine. You can see how emotional and raw he was, how every breath on that stage had life. How much Dears missed and loved him at the end, especially since it was not his personal concert. Dimash is perfection. ❤❤❤

Li Yugang is specially trained for Chinese operas playing females roles (nan dan). No one can do 'nan dan' roles without at least 3 years of specific trainings. It's not just the vocals alone, mannerisms, eyes movements, facial expressions, body movements all have to match traditional chinese opera music. But Li Yugang is not just a traditional Chinese operas singer.....he's also a successful contemporary singer and is no stranger to large and huge stadium performances in China. Off stage he behave and speaks as any normal male.

Thank you so much. I LOVE this song. When he goes angel, I am lifted to the heavens. This is such a gorgeous song by Igor Krutoy. Dimash's interpretation is so so so much different than the original singers interpretation 27+ yrs. ago. He turned it into the most lovely heartfelt song. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

As of 2021, The song was composed and originally performed 27 years ago. Igro Krutoy composed this Song the year that Dimash was born in 1994. Dimash performed the song in 2019, when he was 25 and it was the 25th anniversary of the song's composition.

And I heard this song hundreds of times. And when I first heard it, I thought: how can this young man convey all the emotions inherent in the song? Who told you how to do it? I don't think about that anymore. Dimash's father Kanat once said that Dimash himself thinks the whole plot of the song, that he has great musical intelligence. Now we know a lot, a lot by listening to Dimash. There is no doubt: why? excuse me? We know that Dimash can do anything, giving his whole soul to each piece.

I love this song and performance . Great reaction and explain again . I agree with you that the more you listen to Dimash , the more things you discover . I'm not talking about range , breath control and styles , but about the small things ( nuances ). The variety in the sound extraction and always in accordance with the text ( lyrics ) and the melody . Dimash is whole universe . Fans have expressed to Dimash worry over how hard he works. His response? Not to worry about how hard he works but just enjoy the performance. He is doing what he loves and he appears to be a very strong willed man, knows himself, what he will and will not do. His handling of the media is an work of art. If they ask personal questions he simply says it is his business. Got to love the man who will now give into anything to gain popularity. So much respect for Dimash.
