I don't think Dimash is saying that we need war in order to have peace. I was expecting the Dimash character to set the right example, but he chose to give himself the role of someone who, when pushed to the extreme by the results of war, acted against his own beliefs. We can all sympathize completely I think with why he killed the evil leader, but it isn't the way to end war. You can't kill war. I think he's saying that the only way to end war is by choosing to take the hard road of choosing life, following the light, turning from wrong to right. Remember in the trailer he said, "There is no peace in war. War is death." This video gives me SO much to think about! All the symbolism. These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. The This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else i noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. Story: (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service) The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow pointer of a sundial, which was also used as a maritime compass before antiquity. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. Right before the antagonist is shown at the podium saying, "War is the way to unite people", during the scene where Dimash is shot and wounded, the military leader says in the background "You must be strong to accept freedom and bring it to the world. Todo en este video tiene un significado... el colgante que hizo Dimash para darle a su amigo y a la niña es un GNOMON es parte de una brújula marítima... y si te fijas en el video, el niño amigo de Dimash no se pone el colgante... lo aprieta y deforma el GNOMON, al doblarlo ya no sirve como brújula lo que indica que su camino se ha perdido... ya no irá por el camino del bien, se inclinará por hacer cosas malas, Dimash mata al comandante por que él ha mandado a asesinar a su familia y murió la hija de Dimash... su esposa dio a luz a un varón y ella muere en el parto... por eso le ponen al bebé el colgante para que siempre tenga una brújula en su vida hacia las cosas buenas. Si observas el comandante tiene el dibujo del GNOMON en su chaqueta y en su gorra, pero ese GNOMON no tiene el orificio por lo cual no sirve como brújula por que un GNOMON debe tener el orificio para dejar pasar la luz del sol y así orientarse... sin el orificio el comandante está perdido, no encontrará jamás el NORTE VERDADERO, no encontrará jamás el camino del bien. Todo está meticulosamente pensado en la historia, que a mi parecer es una obra maestra!!

A Requeim is a solemn Catholic Mass for the Repose of the Souls of the Dead. All the people moving in step throughout the video are deceased including Dimash at the end. It represents and honors all faiths and people in death from senseless wars and his visceral mourning of them and humanity's loss in his musical composition and voice. It is magnificent.

You are absolutely correct in the explanation of this video. And in the end, Dimash's baby is the adult and peaceful leader of a war-free world. The only thing most people forgot to explain in this video is the burning sign with the name Waldenberg written on it just before Dimash enters the house where he finds his murdered daughter. Waldenberg means the german town Waldenburg, which was nearly destroyed at the end of the second worldwar 1945.

How can you not admire and respect such a wholesome artist with a beautiful heart and soul? Dimash’s song, video, and message are so powerful and compelling… We could feel his pain, passion, and desperation in his heavy metal like scream because he truly cares. Dimash has found his calling as an artist: presenting his Kazakh culture to the world, but also spreading compassion, love, respect, and unity through his voice and music. One should strive for peace and understanding among different peoples, cultures, and religions so that there’s mutual respect in spite of our differences, hence the necessity of an open dialogue to solve conflicts instead of choosing war. Indeed, in this short film (it’s more than a simple MV at this point!), Dimash is showing us that war is NOT the path to peace. War does not unite people like the antagonist preaches; but leads to “senseless horror”, destruction, grief, and death. At the end, he shows us the alternative to war by leading people from different religions and cultures to the true path of peace and unity. I admire his strong conviction, courage, and beautiful soul. I hope that his powerful, heartfelt plea for peace and unity will be heard all across the world. Being a Dear is an honor.
