I saw the premiere of this live at his concert in Almaty. He left his entire heart and soul on that stage. It broke me completely, as it did to most of us there. The next day he gave us this music video, and it broke me all over again. This is not just a song to him. He has been working for peace his whole life, in his behaviour and in his music: War and Peace, written when he was only 18, and Ave Maria, a wordless prayer for any (or even no) religion across the world. And now this, perfect composition, perfect vocals, poignant messages. I hope this reaches millions of hearts, and we all actually listen to him. We’re choosing life!!!

I would love to see this go to an independent film festival for short films. It deserves to be seen world wide. People really need to learn we are all one race Human. Cultures may be different but our race is the same. We will never truly rid ourselves of evil, but we could certainly rid ourselves of the senseless killing and violence between countries. Compromise might take work, but it is obtainable. If country leaders viewed their relationships with other countries as sort of marriages that need to last, and worked at the relationships while respecting differences we could avoid conflicts that end in losses for everyone. The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. Wow in this mini movie there are so significant things. For example the three kids. They choose different routes, one became a leader and decided not to choose life instead of the others 2. I can’t believe that the soldier had to kill his friend and also sacrifice himself to give new generation a chance. I can’t believe and imagine how hard it could be. The pregnant woman is his wife (girl at the beach) & the little girl their daughter. So all 3 from the beach died - the woman died in childbirth, hence the necklace being put on the baby - the baby grows to become a leader of all religions in the search for peace. Dimash wrote the story, composed the music & it has taken 3 years to complete. It is a masterpiece. I liked his reference to John Lennon's 'Imagine', as we've passed the time of just thinking about peace, we need to actually DO something as it's just gotten out if hand now. The acting depicts the craziness of war. The three children- one became the worst war leader. The other two was on opposite sides of the first. It shows how senseless war is. His voice again is a whaling outcry for peace. Masterful. My Gentle Giant Dimash.

Dimash spent three years putting this video together, and it shows! The quality is absolutely superb. I’ve heard that this is now the most expensive music video ever made… and it certainly looks that way! Dimash always delivers, but this is the first time I’ve seen where he delivers something that actually makes his voice something that is not the main focus (I mean, every other song people rave about the perfection of his voice because, well… It is perfect!) They have done a fantastic job of making the message more important than the voice, and that is a statement in itself. I’m wondering if there are people out there that can put this piece of art in for awards. Firstly because this deserves acclaim. Secondly because awards would spread the message further. Thank you for your reaction. You managed to piece together the story so well! I do believe that Dimash at the end is the baby that was born - the son of both the boy saved from drowning and the girl who held his hand at the time.

The Piper [the older boy who becomes the Commander - as shown in the transition scene from the kids on the beach into the first dark viduals of the Commander] is also similar to "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" -- leading away followers who can't resist... and one of the song lyrics encourages them to break away from following the bad (destructive) influence of the Piper's direction, and instead turn away and escape from wrong to the right direction *see NOTE 2 below for additional/alternative Piper possible representation Part of the irony is that the older boy, who at first saves the younger one [young Dimash], grows to be ruthless (contrary to the innocent youth caring in the rescue) -- and is killed by the grown up younger boy, who in turn is killed and symbolically returned back to the imagery of the waters that would have killed him if he had not been rescued by the youth version of the Piper The figures walking through the sands represent the victims of all races, people, and religions -- i.e. war and intolerance plays no favorites, and all end up suffering and dying needlessly... The symbol, passed on to the to the grown up little girl's baby [who also represents fresh innocence, and our future generations], is also a reminder that we pass along to our children -- so will we pass them our hopes that they can retain their original intentions of the symbol [friendship, peace, tolerance, and caring], or does we pass along our misguided directions [hatred, control, destruction, intolerance of those that don't follow our control and beliefs]. What future are we leaving for the children... NOTE: Merriam-Webster - Definition of Pied Piper 1: one that offers strong but delusive enticement 2: a leader who makes irresponsible promises 3: a charismatic person who attracts followers NOTE 2: Pipers are also the soldiers who play their instruments [fife, bagpipes, etc.] during battles to encourage the forward movement of the troops -- although this would be a weaker consideration in the "Piper" reference since the musical pipers are just assigned soldiers, and are not the actual leaders or instigators for war. The reason I consider this a weaker potential reference for "Piper(s)" is because, since they aren't the actual leaders drivingf the battle, even if they "fall" in battle, that doesn't stop the troop movement forward -- the soldiers would still continue forward as ordered regardless of whether the Piper(s) is in front or not NOTE 3: It's easy to miss the initial connection between the kids and the first appearance of the military Commander -- but if you notice (on the beach), the older boy has crushed and bent his gifted symbol; which then appears next to his hand on the book when the shot first introduces the adult Commander into the story [the gifted symbol on the book is also bent] -- and the Commander has converted the symbol as a sign of control rather than friendship (as seen on the military arms, caps, etc.) NOTE 4: Without seeing the original lyrics, it would be hard to decisively determine if some of the lyric words were mispronounced or simply changed or in typos in the subtitle captions -- e.g. Dimash sings "Piper's Falling", but the subtitles show "Piper's failing" (with failing making slightly better logic in that lyrical point context as in a Leader driving people into war is failing his/her people by not protecting, but instead sending them towards death in war -- and as said earlier, in battles, even if the soldier [bagpiper] "falls", that has no affect on the rest of the soldiers continuing to advance... and likewise with the subtitle lyric line about love to share (the ",not shares" may have actually been intended to be ",not shared" as in the love of people that has been withheld because war has no intention to encourage compassion whereas peace would). When I first heard this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching! 😢 Dimash has worked hard for 3 years on this MV, and it turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts in trying to bring the world together in love, peace and unity. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end; 2) Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end; 3) The young girl, became Dimash’s future wife who gave birth to his son at the end, and Dimash's daughter who was killed by the Piper's army. They were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through the throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. Yes - Right on the pulse. These things happening every day, in many places in the world. Not only should we stop following the Pipers - but we must not Look Away. Not a music video - but a Mini-Movie with a Maxi-Message. I too immediately thought about The Pale Blue Dot and have been referencing it on every reactor site that views this. In Sept. of last year the Pope was visiting Kazakhstan to attend a Multi-Faith Conference and there gave Dimash a special Award to recognise this piece, (a production 3 years in the making) as an important contribution to world peace and inter-faith tolerance. Right now, in March 2023, The Story Of One Sky is showing in an International Film Festival in London. This production should be shown everywhere.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. The This video needs to be shown worldwide. I flew from Melbourne to Kazakhstan and had the honour of seeing Dimash perform it live. His best live performance I've ever seen, he gave it his all. Look it up, there's YT clips aplenty. And it's superior musically, IMHO, as the construction is slightly different and it's 9 mins long. The song doesn't need the video, we all got the message and the whole audience at the concert were crying. But the video is extremely brilliant, giving us more of Dimash's creative talents and I hope everyone in the world sees it at least once.

I was so pleased to see that you had reacted to this, I knew that this would impact you. Unfortunately for so many, this world has been crazy for a very long time, we hear more now, but when we think about Germany decade’s ago, the USSR, religious wars, this has been going on for a long time, in the US, in 2020, people turning on people, mass shootings over differences. It just insane, and ultimately the children of the world pay the biggest price, even if they are not direct victims, their parents, grandparents. It’s so sad. This is one epic masterpiece from our Dimash. Our Dimash is very vocal about the futility and human cost of war. Qazakstan only achieved independence 30 years ago, Dimash is only 28. He knows the history of his homeland and of current and past heroes of the conflict. He detests war and has stated that wars are always between two people not two nations. He has stated that he is 'only a singer' so all he can do is 'use his voice'. This is Dimash's humility and him using his voice. This was a project 3 years in the making on and off in-between commitments in many countries and his homeland not to mention his concerts of which there has been four in just this year alone. The emotion, heart and soul is real and I believe this was a way for him to vent his frustration at current world events. Director Alina Veripya is second to none in her field and portrayed everything magnificently.I believe she also directed ‘Okay’ for Dimash which was a great video. The Story of One Sky is an absolute mind blowing masterpiece and deserves unrivalled recognition from all corners of the earth. This makes you sad, cry and smile but leaves you questioning the direction we as a humans are travelling. Dimash promised something epic and that was a colossal understatement. He delivered as always. ❤💕

Thank you for the point you made, about Dimash being past James Bond type movies. I too feel that that is the case. Many people still talk about James Bond movies, about Dimash becoming an actor even, but I wish that he only sings and acts in pieces that he created, expressing the messages that he wants to express. Here is proof that he is very good at making his own music and stories, and that he is bigger than movies with fantasy themes. He is clearly meant for, and capable of, bigger things. In my opinion. He certainly doesn`t need the "recognition" that a mainstream movie would bring. I am certain that his fame will grow naturally, until he will be known everywhere in the world, and will have his own page in history. He is already known in 100 countries of the world. He has already earned the freedom to express through his art only the things that are very close to his heart. And he certainly doesn`t need the distortion that "talking about him on the news" would inherently bring. We`re not very good at describing or debating truly precious things on tv :)
