I'm sailing my new dinghy the long way home - part 2. I'm wild camping on a beautiful island waiting for the wind to calm down before I continue sailing South. After a rainy evening and stormy night, it's good to walk around with the sun in my face.

I have watched many dinghy sailors Mr. Barnes in France, Paul, in Australia, now, Jorgan Magnus in Norway. Maybe I should look at dinghies more closely. Seems like the smaller the boat, the more it’s used. The large yachts seem to stay in the marinas, lonely and untended. I’m land locked and no sailor; however, Tennessee has rivers and large, long lakes that lead to the sea. Watching these sailors I feel a strong urge to go to the sea…maybe. I’m old and think maybe I love adventure. I tried hiking…nope, that was not the way. I have ridden my motorcycle thousands of miles. I have driven my truck from coast to coast, from southern Texas to Alaska, to Maine and back to Tennessee. Sailing looks to be a new skill set that I might like. Thanks for sharing a bit of Norway. Greetings from east Tennessee.

What a nice boat a bit small for me, I bought an Albin Vega 27' and are rebuilding her for a life on the seas, she will be my house. The summers I will spend at the Swedish and Norwegian coast's and the winters on Madeira and Canary islands. I'm tired of contributing to a society that hates me for being a man, so now I will do what I love, fishing for the rest of my life. I have 14 year's left to pension, until then I'll just work when I need money.

I feel you brother! I have wanted to sail away from time to time. I definitely will buy a larger boat some day in the future when I have more time to use it. For now the little dinghy is the perfect boat for me. The Vega is a wonderful world cruiser and I’ve been dreaming about one for a while. I love the stories about Jarle Andhøy and Matt Rutherford in their Vegas. Would love to join you for a beer when you are sailing the Norwegian coast. Thank you Bulldozer✌️

@@jorgen.magnus I'll send you a message when I'm on the way, I have a lot of rebuilding to do to make her comfortable to live on. Edison battery bank, water maker, solar wind, woodstove, diesel heater and so on... What will slow me down is that my homeport is Luleå and the winter is long and cold.

@@jorgen.magnus I might try to make a little YT money, it's going to be a bit different, sailing and fishing channel all done on a budget because I will only work if I have to. It will be a little about carnivore diet to, I will try to only eat free food, mostly fish and shellfish.

The trangia is an amazing piece of gear, and there is nothing quite like a freshly brewed cup of coffee whilst out on the trail. Norway sounds like the ideal dinghy cruising area. Great video Jorgen, thank you for sharing it.

I just love that, despite all the constraints on what you could take with you, a proper coffee was so high on your priorities. When I was due to do an Atlantic crossing I spent a small fortune on a compact (pocket sized, really) espresso maker. I'm jealous of the scenery and adventure you have.

@@jorgen.magnus absolutely. I live on the east coast of Scotland - we’re neighbours across the sea. The west coast of Scotland is very similar. Once I’ve finished renovating my dinghy I’ll be sailing there as well as closer. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Thanks.

Too cold for me to sail today, so I'll go sailing with you instead if you don't mind. I have that exact same outboard on my sailboat (Core Sound 20.3). What kind of tent do you use?

Thank you for posting these Jorgen, I have just bought a small sailing dingy myself and have discovered a similar joy and serenity in it. Your videos are a work of art, your journey inspiring. I must ask you, what is the brand name of the coffee brewer you are using there? The design looks very interesting and I'd like to check one out.

Hi Edward, that's wonderful. What kind of boat and where do you sail? I don't know the brand of the coffee brewer. It's just an old part of a broken coffee machine. You can buy similar online - like this one: www.amazon.co.uk/Westmark-Coffee-Filter-Polypropylene-Black/dp/B005MZGVRO It makes really good coffee. Thank you very much for your kind feedback!
