Wasn’t that fun to discover it was her? That is part of your journey. We are inundated with old and new throughout commercials, movies and other audio sounds. It’s old and new all at once. Nice reaction. And she has such a beautiful voice.

ya totally fun to realize it was her. I mean obviously my view of the time period was different because I experienced it decades later but slowly things piece together in my head.

Great reaction!! Its good to see more of Dionne Warwick's classic music from the 60's. You must check out Do you Know the Way to San Jose, the follow up single to this tune, and "Promises Promises", one of my favorites. It has to be one of the most difficult songs to sing

I agree with everything you said here! I forgot how romantic her collaborations with Burt Bacharach and Hal David are. I love this and Walk on By and everything she does… Check out Susanna Hoffs (the singer from The Bangles) sultry version of Bacharach’s The Look of Love.

Good one! Next time you do Dionne you might check out her duets with Barry Manilow. Never Gonna Let You Get Away is is a BM original. They also do a version of The Bee Gees Run To Me that’s pretty good.

YES!! Definitely a timeless classic and really showcases her talent well. I’ve heard she was considered Bacharach’s muse. Definitely why the Gibbs jumped at the chance to work with such an icon. Enjoyed the enthusiastic reaction:)

Great reaction! She’s a wonderful singer. I always picture that silly Julia Roberts movie with this song. Please react sometime to some of her Heartbreaker album songs or Barry Gibb’s demos of them would be even better

@@jaybrielakoi7747 this was actually the b-side to theme of Valley of the Dolls...written by Andre and Dory Previn. DJ...after big hit of theme song...DJs flip the hit to otherwide. play I say a little prayer...which is also a massive hit. Burt was surprised at the songs success.

A song like this is easy to rush. The song pushes itself. As for the tempo though I feel like the spectrum of speed it can sound good at is pretty wide.

this is better by Arethra.... Dionne owns Walk On By...and Do you know the way to San Jose...plus i love the usa/uk comparisons of the songs....anyone who had a heart..... and.....Alfie...both done by Dionne and Cilla Black...ps before the usual preference arguments i like em both

I like Dionne's version much better. It is much more difficult with the syncopation and tempo but with silky smooth vocals.

I love them both. Aretha and Dionne have different sounds. Dionne is very classy her voice is like crystal. It is so clear. Aretha's voice is very earthy. I love them both.
