The last one here from 10.30 is still used on bbc 2 nowadays. On pick of the pops . Great one. Tony Blackburn here and still on bbc radio now 45 years on.

2.35 - this was the news theme in the 1970s.

8:30 - Old BBC/GTS Pips from 1924 till mid-1970's* (6 shorts pips, But their use for RTE Radio in Ireland) *that time was before the 5 short pips and 1 long pip.

Didnt really find its feet until after a decade of being on air and a frequency change then was destroyed in 1993 and has never recovered.

I don't really remember too many of these. No mention of Simon Bates and the Golden Hour, Mike Reed or Steve Wright, Newsbeat or Our Tune.

It's a shame thay didn't have a VHF frequency from the start terrible signal on 247m
