Great stuff. The hand-cam helps a lot with communicating how you're controlling it. How are you liking the game?

Thanks! The game itself I'm disappointed with, it feels like a huge step back in game feel and gunplay to BFV

I'm really looking into getting some Joycons because I've been wanting to play with the Hydra ever since I saw you use it. Which Joycons would say are the best?

I really like the Binbok Joy-Con because of the larger shape and back button, but there are so many different brands out there that I can't say which is the best. I plan to test some more in the future and see how they perform.

Hei, just watched all your recent videos, great work thinking about getting joincons too. Quick question for you, i know many people will disagree with me, but from what i gathered a good mouse accel is really nice and doesnt destroy your muscle memory, i am using program called "custom curve" but not sure why it doesnt accelerate when using hydras, any tips on acceleration?:)

I agree with you about accel, and I've tried to get it working on the Hydra as well. Unfortunately since the Hydra doesn't show as a real HID mouse device, I haven't had any luck with programs like RawAccel etc in getting it to work. If you find a way please let me know!

Ryzen 3700x, 32gb ram, RTX 3080. Mostly high and some medium settings at 3440x1440 res

Thanks for sharing. I was trying out my steam controller with the regular big picture mode but the game just would not cooperate. I might actually try out my switch joy cons now.

Ever since they overhauled steam input I've had loads of problems with it, nowadays I just disable it entirely and rely on reWASD

@@directedinput I've downloaded rewasd and spent a while fiddling with it. After looking at your config I got some ideas and now I finally have a gyro config that I am comfortable with. Thanks for the inspiration.

I really like the Binbok because of the shape and back button. I've also tried Kingear which is a common style of third party joycon that is also pretty good with a slimmer profile.

Do you think gyro in one Hand is better instead of 1 whole controller in two hands?

I think one handed is better for range of motion and control

@@directedinput i thought the same, but im not sure with the control and stability. I would love to have a steam controller split in two so i could compare this to my regular Steam controller :P. I would miss the touchpads on the Joycons, because im not a stick player anymore.

Yeah, I hope if they do make another Steam controller it can 'break away' to a two handed controller. You are right though it's hard to do a comparison because there are so few two handed controllers. For years the only real option was the Razer Hydra for PC. I do think that people coming from a console/controller background might be more comfortable with a two handed controller and using stick+gyro on something like a Dualsense or DS4, but for people coming from a mouse background one-handed would be more familiar.

i'd recommend to use an original joy-con on the right hand, its gyro is way better, more smooth, accurate, theses ones reacts weirdly, it's like there's a built-in mouse acceleration or something...

Interesting, I'll try them. I had noticed some accel issues but it seemed the same on every kind of joycon I've tried, and possibly on the software side (rewasd). I've been trying to find a way to 'test' gyros on different controllers but there doesn't seem to be any standard to do so, so I just have to go by feel.
