I'll never get tired of DiResta!
@FizzicksDude11 жыл бұрын
DiResta is unique because he does the same amount of work a traditional wood working show would accomplish and compresses it down into a video of 4-5 minutes and shows only what you need to see. His projects are quite different (in a good way) and I will admit I have wood and metal working experience so maybe I can pick up on what he is doing a little more. The concept of no talking and showing all of the work is fresh and works for me.

I got inspired and made a bench out of reclaimed 2" plank from my friends garbage pile. It's not perfect, but I had fun, and learned a lot. Thanks for the inspiration.

you have inspired me to be a "do it yourselfer". i am not afraid to attack any project after careful planning and know that learning from my mistakes will only make me better. kudos!

Mr. DiResta. I have watched this video countless times as well as most of your others. You are an amazing artist and craftsman. Looking forward to future videos from you.

Your my favorite woodworker! You and Steve Ramsey. I’ve learned so much from you guys over the years and had a lot of fun watching! I still have so many questions that y’all do and make it look so easy but then I do it and I wasn’t to throw it outside after an hour lol. Maybe one day we’ll cross paths...ill be the over excited kid star struck and acting like a school girl meeting whatever popular boy band is around now lol. You rock! Love your videos!

You know with all that resawing you did a bandsaw would have made alot simpler and faster. Also, acouple drops of glue on each board would make a world of difference in how ridgid and strong the finished crate would be.
@moristar11 жыл бұрын
Those are quite high-tech production and artist-made whiskey boxes. Kind of makes that whiskey a bit special. Smart move :)

I love how he doesn't wanna spray paint diresta on one of the crates.. so its like... ehh i'll spray paint one on the table for good measure. also bullet bourbon is good stuff.

I have something like one of those around my house. except there's metal on all the outside edges and the oval cut for a hand hold is between two planks rather than in the center of one.

I have built almost the exact boxes out of cedar to use as planters. I did have an issue with staples holding under the pressure of the soil. I have to imagine that a case of whiskey has some of the same weight characteristics. Do you use a special type of brad or staple? Or does cedar not take a fastener the same way the wood you are using here does (I imagine ash or oak)? I appreciate not only your process but, your understanding of the mediums you are working with.

Hello Glue on each end wuldnt make any diference if the wood is freshly cut. It Will be mowing around. I would be much better if he would use triangular corner boards. It takes less room and it looks nicer.

I'm going to be honest here, I dont make anything like the stuff you make. I simply watch your videos for entertainment. There may be other videos similar to yours, but there's something about your that keeps me from doing my homework... oh, wait, moment... (muttering to self) Let's see... what is the absolute value of -90? Easy...
