You make me miss my 84 k5 I could pass everything but a gas station it had a 396 with a blower on 12 inch lift and 44s. Built it for deep mud but when gas first went up it had to go. It got 4mpg on a good day.

I love watching this stuff, the load sensing valve should be extended when you raise it, I need to do that with mine too, but you don't want it locking up the rear on the road.

When I did the disc brake conversion on my K30 I removed the ride height valve and installed a proportioning valve in its place.

The rear u joint went Old West.

I had that rear portion valve on my old 87 3/4 ton suburban quit letting fluid back to the master cylinder. Locked the rear wheels up. Wouldn't move an inch in my driveway. I just bypassed it. On my 84 crew cab I made an extension to match the lift since it still works.

Please get yourself a quality face shield, my good friend lost his left eye and part of his eyebrow, with goggles and and face shield, and he's a shop teacher and one of the most careful people on the planet, he teaches safety! The grinder wheel exploded in his face! TJ is a tough SOB and we're trying to use his misfortune to help educate others on how easy everything can go to shyt! He's still an offroad beast in his 47 flatly and still rides a motorcycle, but life is definitely tougher for my friend, please those shyt sunglasses/safety glasses aren't going to squat! Buy a high quality shield and be careful out there! Remember, TJs life was turned upside down, and he was wearing safety gear, imagine without it how bad it could be?
