I just ran my Xpedition through a bunch of trails around Dover Arkansas that were as gnarly and more in some cases. You would be surprised what that Xpedition will go through and over. I do have trail armor skid plates all the way around as the factory skids are pretty thin and flimsy. Also have rock sliders. They both helped out immensely and kept the rocks off the sides. Get some better protection and you can quit babying that thing, it’s more impressive in those conditions than you think. FYI, I also got on OnX and subscribed. Had to use “dirtdudes” to get discount not “dirtdude”.

I had a 92 ford explorer that I wheeled some 20 odd years ago as kid and everytime I see this expedition from the back thats what it reminds of 😆

If you want to stay at some cool cabins on the other side of the of the park look into Halfmoon campground their cabins have full showers and stuff. Awesome place to stay.!!

I can't believe how that train has been destroyed! I have pictures of it back in 2017 and it was all there for the most part, all of the glass and switches were still there! Wow! And there was no graffiti!😂

I didnt realize we ran into you guys ealier, we were watching this morning and my son yells "dad thats us" 😂 We did that same sketchy trail to the train a few days after you guys did. Looking forward to the rest of the videos, hoping to see the ole General trying to keep up.

Highly recommend some Trail Armor Full skids and Polaris Rock slides for that Xpedition. Makes a world of difference with mine when crawling through that stuff. Don’t have to worry nearly as much.

I think you screwed up on not having those bigger tires on that you took off before the trip. But yes, you should go with the long travel kit and on 35s with chrome wheels.

looks like a fun ride, i think a few of those rigs need either softer sway bars or need to unhook completely tho. that rs1 looked like it had hardly any flex and was teetering a lot despite those big a arms

Try going up that trail from the train in a lifted two-door Tahoe on 35s roof top tent and with no lockers. At night in the rain🤣

Dude don’t you think the xpedition is plenty capable? I feel like it’s just as capable as a xp1k. I think it would be nerve racking just because that thing is so expensive. I really want that unit since I have a growing family.
