Interesting. Do you own one? I definitely want to get my hands on one of the enclosed cabs from Polaris to test in the future. Do you think it’s something you could address with sound deadening materials?

@@GearsGadgets I have sound deading for my northstar XP coming in a few days. I'm going to apply it to the interior under the rear seat area. We're going to ride in the mountains next weekend, So hopefully it quiets it down a little bit. Also you can get the clutch weights swapped about at polaris for free to reduce the noise but I think the power curve changes

I have the green xp5 Northstar. Had weights changed and really like the feel now. Power wise, it still flys around. If you ate under 25mph just use low and it will be super responsive. I put 32s on it as well. I was flying around on trails with a bunchbof guys this week in Hayward WI and what this video describes about not being top heavy is spot on. With weights added i was right behind the 4wheelers. They were all blown away. I just got back from Moab Ut rovk climbing and it did all of that too. After these trail rides twisting and turning at speed, i am blown away by this rig. I gave up a XP5 Rzr Tufbo for this. No dust ac and music, i was having a blast. With the music and running hard, noise is not an issue. Enjoy. ​@monstermini225

I used the Skar audio branded sound damping mat. We took off the bed, which was 2 15mm bolts and the one clip in the dump bed shock. If it takes more than 2 minutes (literally) to remove your doing something wrong. We applied the mat to the rear fire wall ( which is very thin plastic) on the outside from the top of the bed until the cab begins to curve where the engine is... (So basically all the easy flat area). Inside we remove the 4 x 13mm bolts at the top of the seat back and it tilts / folds down. We removed the factory carpeted panel (which is super thick and heavy *to help dampen the sound) and we applied Skar damping to what is the inside of the same firewall. Then reinstall the factory mat and 4 x 13mm bolts to the seat back. So the rear firewall behind the seat is the factory thick carpet mat, Skar mat, the flimsy plastic cab firewall, and the exterior layer of Skar mat. The last few pieces were applied to the lower part under the seats and on the floor just under the rear seat so none of the Skar mat can be seen, unless you lift the dump bed. $4x.xx on Amazon. And maybe an hour (probably less) with 2 people... Myself and my 13 year old. *Also buy the install rollers, makes the install easier) The result is a noticeably quieter cab, I believe it blocks a lot of heat from the engine as well so the cab is also cooler. With the ac on it got COLD in the morning and evening on our trip to the mountains in Arkansas. I'll be posting a video review of the Xpedition and clips from the trip. But we did level 4/5 diamond trails following lifted trucks on 35 with front and rear lockers. The Xpedition didn't miss a beat. We did fink and sardines ravine at Hot Springs Offroad park if you want to look at video on KZfaq. It handled the extreme off camber trails and ruts like a boss... Sure, the Xpedition cost money but we had jeeps following up that comment how smooth it looked and he they were getting bounced around a lot more. Then I showed him how the ride command had mapped the trails we road etc. And they were mind blown. I fully expected to get home and be ready to install some 32's but honestly at this point it would be more for looks as the Xpedition is more than capable in stock for and we weren't doing kiddy trails,.we gave it. Proper test. We only had to winch once and it was mid way up a rocky STEEP climb where the ground was washed out under a bolder and I couldn't get the back to climb. 32s wouldn't have helped it was that bad, but too dangerous to back down so I was glad to have the winch. Now I just need to order rock sliders as that put a small scuff at the very bottom
