I often use a dremel cut-off wheel to put a slot in mine the first time it's out. As you are correct they have a tendency to the allen head to strip. Good technique can minimize but not eliminate this tendency, I squeeze the parts together (to take pressure of the screw) then place my thumb on the bend in the allen key above the screw for down pressure and start the turn with a quick sharp eighth of an inch turn on the allen key to break it free. then I flip the key over and use the long end like a screw driver to gently remove it. Even if you cut the slot later, you still have to get it out cleanly the first time.

I only disassemble when required. Install or replace parts and perform repairs. They are not like firearms where disassembly is common.

You have to take the gun apart. The barrel is also held in place by the transfer port between it and the valve in the main tube.

Sorry for the delayed response. So you have removed the rear sight screw, correct? It goes through the rear site, through the steel breech and through its end cap retainer before exiting the breech and through the top of the main tube and on down? If not. That’s your problem. If so, go ahead and remove the breech and barrel from the gun. Remove the barrel from the breech (which has to be done any way.) Then use a pencil ✏️ or dowel to reach through the front of the breech to knock the cam out the back.

Once you've separated the main tube from the barrel assembly remove the breech seal, then remove the screw on the bottom of the tube. At this point you should be able to turn the tube so the front is facing down and it should slide out. If not then you can push it out with a dowl or piece of plastic. There's an indentation in the metal of the tube that prevents the valve from coming out the rear of the tube. Sorry for not videoing that part.

Non-removable. At least not easily. It's a semi-permanent press fit. That's why you have to remove the barrel from the breach prior to pulling the barrel support ring of the chamber end of the barrel.
