Don't purchase this model 3511 or 3515 this is manufacturing fault after replacement also you will get issues, if you purchase this model definitely you get this issue.

I did it 2 times one time I got claimed under wrannty one time I got free by claimed by dell again I have issue now they are asking 3500 rs what should I do

my laptop is Inspiron 3511 model,alongside the borders of the LED Display, there is a plastic frame that pops up a little. Because of this frame, whenever i close the laptop, it rubs against the body can I get warranty for the scratched body

I got same problem in my laptop today then I contact dell customer service and he told me for wait for 10 days atlist to repair my laptop

I too got my laptop hinge replaced under warrenty , but this issue is common across most of the user. And even dell has agreed that it’s a manufacturing defect, same thing will cost 6k post warrenty. So I had called up the customer care and asked them to provide extended warrenty to 3511 laptop users at a lesser rate and even the technician agreed that the new hinges are also of the same quality as previous one.

I generated complaint on Friday for same issue on 3511 , but didn't received any mail from Dell.

Some advice for users, get your laptop hinges loosen by technician when he is replacing them. By this you will not face same issue again in future.

didi Im using hp laptop and Im facing same problem then I hp service center I tell the problem my laptop is under warranty and the calling man that your laptop have physical damage that not cover in hp warranty then the calling person say that you want to pay to replace hinge of your laptop and I ask that the price of hingle they tell 15000 to 16000 price hai. hingle ka my service experience are bad I would give -infinity from 5 don't hp product I would prefer to buy dell and lenovo. the dell laptop are great

I will give you 1 suggestion: Whenever you buy budget or midrange laptop, just open the hinge cover and calibrate it as you want. This will never fail your hinges and plastic holds.

I'm also facing the same issue recently. I had raised my complaint for about 25 day's ago 10/4/22 still the service is pending till now 12/5/22. Friends, Never ever buy any Dell Laptops as their warranty is just a fake. I bought this model in USA and then within 3 months of use, it's lid hinge got stuck and screen was about to rip apart. I complained it to Dell USA and they advised to transfer the ownership to India. I did so. Dell India said you have to buy new warranty as it's not transferable. When contacted US customer care they said it's transferable and they did it for me. Once I got my warranty card for India then Dell India technician came up with new shitty idea that first hardware service is to be paid for. This model has serious design and manufacturing issue with hinge and instead of recalling back this model, they are buying time so that 1 year of warranty is expired. I will advice to go for ASUS or any other make. ASUS people exchanged my last PC under warranty within 3 days of complaint.

so guys jin logo ko ab tak service nhi mili hy vo sab log consumer forum mein register complaint kare vo log dell ko notice bhejenge and tab dell apko refund ya naya laptop replace karega coming to my case mene jan 26th ko laptop liya tha and vo april 14ko hinge toot gaya and maine april15th ko dell ko contact karke complaint register kiya and lekin vo log shanghai mein lockdown ka bahana batate batate delay karte gaye and i fedded up and maine may 2nd ko consumer forum mein complaint kiya phir next 2days mein hi direct dell valo ka call aya case ke baareme enquire karne and tab maine mera problem bataya and dell valo phir 3days ke baad direct call karke lockdown tho abhi khulne vala nhi hy isiliye ap refund ya replace karne ko suggest kiye and vo refund mereko 60500 karenge bola tha agar replace huva tho same configuration vala laptop denge bole the i chose for replacement and then finally aaj mera laptop replace hogaya without not even paying a single rupee so i suggest everyone to register complaint in consumer forum

Hi, i also got the same problem of hinges. Now they are saying due to Shanghai lockdown parts replacement will take around 40days. They are also offering full system replacement, but i will get refurbished one(almost same age laptop as mine). my laptop is 9months old. Which is a better option parts replacement or refurbished system? Please share experiences of refurbished one if anyone has opted?
