You click on a vid and someone is reviewing a product and than they say, this product is nice I’m so excited, it goes well with my yacht, than you can already assume they have high taste and chances are the product is out of their price range. So as with pools, a pool build is upwards to 75k-150k add on excluding maintenance. Your average user on here can’t afford that.

You can see the holes through which it can be fixed to the ground using screws, and therefore it is not susceptible to being uprooted in the event of wind.

You can see the anchor bolt holes in the bottom plate when they screw it on. Anchor it and if a major wind storm is coming, just open the top.

This is not a do it yourself project! I think 2 handymen working together would have issues with this assembly! I’m in Texas and we would have to anchor this down immediately!

We generally recommend 2-3 people for installation, and usually takes around 4-6 hours to complete the install. Hope this helps!

I have a metal pergola that came with a shade cover, paid $100 as it was on clearance at the end of summer. We have it bolted to our deck but replacement covers cost more than the entire structure. We had a major hail storm and replaced it with a shade cloth and made it work. Another hail storm but at less than $25, it’s fine. I would love to have the louvre version but with the high winds we get, I would be concerned about the force. A hail storm would destroy those louvers. It’s a nice concept, but won’t be practical for everyone, especially the cost.

This is kind of a silly question. You should expect to need to secure it to a concrete base. The assembly pieces shown have 4 bolt holes to secure it down. It would be completely moronic to set this up and not secure it.

Those mild steel screws on the bottom plates will be rustedand rotten after one season. Especially if your pool is chlorinated . I like the louver idea.
