This one is deceptively short on km but was some testing ascents that reward you with fantastic views, I hope you enjoy it😃. More info in the description. Thanks for watching ⛰👍🙏

Another great video. Love Fleetwith Pike it's my favourite. Some do from the slate mines but it has to an ascent up the nose every time 👍

Hi Tony, hi Alison, another cracking video and route. Most mountains have many routes to their summit but for me, the only route to take to the top of Fleetwith Pike is up Fleetwith Edge. It’s so much fun, and offers incredible views. You should have nipped over to Black Star. It gives immense views down in to the Honister pass. You mentioned Piller. I did that on Saturday from Wasdale. When you do it, go up to Dorehead via Dorehead Screes, it’s brilliant fun. I’ve ticked off 129 Wainwrights now, but I have to say Steeple which I did on my walk up to Piller is my new favourite. Just an amazing looking peak and the views from the summit are amazing. All the best Dave 😀⛰🥾

Hi Dave, yes, I was going to go over to Blackstar but I think the ascent took it out of me 🤣. Excellent mate, Pillar is firmly on my list. I’ll check out your route. Good work on the wainwrights. I’m hoping to get them completed this year. Thanks for the support as always. Enjoy it out there mate 👍⛰️🥾

Great video again Tony. We think this is the best part of the lakes and was up there last year from Cornwall.Always wanted to do this walk but have to stick to lower ground these days so walked around crummock water which was great and a pint in the Kirkstyle Inn to end. Glad you showed us what it was like up there and very professional as always. Cheers.

Hi Steve, It is a great area, I’m looking forward to doing the ones further up towards Crummock Water soon. Glad I could show it to you as Fleetwith Pike is much underrated and Haystacks is a wonderful oasis. Glad you got out, it’s a lovely lake. I’ll pop in the Kirkstile Inn when I’m up there.. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 😊All the best mate. ⛰️🥾🍺

Great video Tony. I did that route when doing the Wainwrights a couple of years back when it was a very hot day. Beautiful walk as long as you take your time when coming off Haystacks towards the end of the walk

Thanks Mark, it is great and very underused as a walk. Yes Haystacks is a tricky down for sure. Thanks for the comment, enjoy it out there mate ⛰️☀️😁

Another cracking video Tony, I did the same walk in reverse last September. I’m slowly working my way through the Wainwrights, but living in Belfast, it’s a costly hobby. Keep up the great work.

Hi Louise, glad you got to do it. We saw nobody on that side. Catbells is lovely 😻. I did it on the Newlands watershed 1 video and managed to get it on a day with cloud inversions in the valley which looked great 😊. Thanks for watching and supporting. Have fun out there ⛰️🥾😁

Great video Tony. I never knew there was a climbing wall up there. I've been up Haystacks before (the way you went down) but not fleetwith pike. We are making haystacks our 214th we do together. Hope Alison's knees are ok. Mark

Thanks Mark👍. Haystacks is seldom visited, possibly because it looks so imposing from the valley floor 🤣. but a hidden gem 💎. You are well underway there mate. She’s good, thanks for asking. The supports are preventative rather than for an injury and work a treat for her ⛰️. I hope you get good weather for it. Let me know what you thought of it 🥾
