On the other hand, coming to the defense of Buddha dharma is not necessary either. Truth will always be the truth, no matter how much it is neglect or disregarded. Truth will always stand up for itself. But I appreciate your effort to present the dharma to others in a way that is not in contradiction with its original intent. You have sympathy for that. I like to give an example, if I may; right now people around the world are upset because religious books are being burnt to manifest political points. If the same thing happened to Buddhist texts we shouldn’t be upset or worried. Why? In this world it is a normal situation that we humans do not see the same truth in all things. If someone is going so far as to burn religious books is no big deal. The karma is on them for having caused many to be upset. Also, those that are upset should consider that no religious book can be the law that everyone must follow. Religious teachings doesn’t need to be defended. If they do, they contain weaknesses that lack the truth. No religion needs to be defended if it is believed to hold the truth. In the eyes of the non-believer religious defensiveness is a sure sign of disbelief and doubt.
