✨Shout out to Flamingo East, and more specifically, 12-105! ✨
Before going on my Disney College Program, I watched a million videos about Flamingo Crossings Village, so naturally, I wanted to add one more to the list! While I didn't tour my entire apartment, I hope you enjoy this in-depth look into a two by two (2x2) bedroom. Not only do I go over the essentials for a bedroom and make the small space work, but you also get a look into how I decorated as well as an empty side of the room!

It look like a hospital room with that side table they give you. I would have major anxiety being squished next to someone with the beds like that.

When I was considering being a DCPer in 1988 from the U of Arizona, I believe the DCPers were put in a mobile home park!

Your room is so cute! I’m about to do the dcp and this was super helpful. I was thinking about putting my dresser in the closet- do you think this would work or would it be way too cramped?

I have heard of people doing it! The nice thing is that the closets are a standard size and depth so it purely depends on how much clothes you have to hang!

Were you automatically assigned a 2x2 or do you have a choice of which type of room you get?

You get to rank your preference but for the most part it’s completely random!

I record 90% of my videos on the Sony ZV-1! This video was recorded on that camera and I love it! Another great camera is the Canon M50

What was your experience like with your roommate? I got just got assigned a 2x2 and am so nervous.

Definitely don’t be nervous! The great thing about the program is that everyone is similarly minded and have soooo many overlapping interests! It’s definitely a little scary sharing a room especially if you don’t know the person but you have a great amount of your own space and the barrier gives you more privacy then you think! You will also be busy all the time so you don’t even spend much time in the room unless you’re sleeping! On my program the roommate who I linked with was in the same apartment but other room, and while there were some issues with my in room roommate but it was definitely rare! I’ll be moving into a 2x2 in 2 weeks and cannot wait

We didn't have personalities and beliefs that worked well together and very different lifestyles. Ultimately, she came from a very different life perspective - she hadn't lived with roommates before, was morally against many things, didn't want to work and was a big partier. Some nights she'd come in from being at clubs around 4 am, talking on the phone and would turn on the light in our room. Like everyone, she wanted her own room and, instead of respecting that I was there, treated it as if it were hers - ignoring me being there. My other 2 roommates were wonderful and the 3 of us got along great! After some altercations with my in-room roommate - as we tried to set boundaries - we did have to approach Flamingo as she threatened violence on us. I really don't want to scare you, this experience was like a movie and truly different than everyone I know
