The one change I wan to see now is getting rid of park hopping restrictions. Absolutely ridiculous to wait to park hop when you paid for a park hopper.

2024 will be our 2nd time taking the kids to WDW, and the dining plans will definitely be a consideration. Intrigued to see what Genie+ changes they make, I know many feel that the value is wayyyy better at DL.

One thing that still hasn't returned, is getting your park purchases delivered to your roomon property. Why is this missing feature rarely discussed. I know I would buy a lot more merchandise if they bring it back, it seems like a winning feature for Disney?

Excellent work going thru all this confusing information in an easy to understand way. Disneyland is a long way (if ever) to getting much relief from reservations for Magic Keys. Currently for ticket buyers it is getting easier to by a ticket the day of your visit.

It would be so cool to get insider info as to how the reservation has driven crowds. Does the reservation system make it easier for Disney to get guests into the park on weekdays? If so, only cratering demand could lead to them letting it go.

I said this all along. They were going to implement so many disliked but profitable changes and then they would roll back a few and people would be happy and maybe forget all the prior free or cheaper perks. I only thought Paycheck would survive through his tenure and his replacement would be seen as a savior

My Fiance and I havent had an AP since they came back and have not gone back to the parks since May 2021. With my fiance being a teacher its just too hard to schedule around how shes going to feel after a long week of work or if she has to grade on our free time. The parks currently are sadly too complicated and expensive for us.

Thanks for the great update. It will be interesting to see how these changes are adjusted for the west coast parks. I would hope Disney would make decisions and changes for Disneyland and DCA with the west coast customer in mind. I'm sure they will. There are a lot of smart people at Disney working on the changes.

Another informative breakdown of the news…and there was a lot! This is close to a mea culpa….they must have known customer dissatisfaction levels were high for a hot minute. Specifically, East Coast peeps have been unhappy losing their 3 “free” fast passes that they could book 60 days out. Glad people who love the dining plan will be able to buy it…I think those sales benefit Disney more than the guest. It’s definitely not a loss leader…Disney profits. Glad to see any changes to reservations!

I don’t get out here why APs can’t go in anytime after 5 or 6? I would like to see a pass where u can go after 4pm… maybe one/two days during the week u could go anytime… Lightning lane literally ruins the experience as u watch them just keep coming as the regular line just waits… ridiculous

I hope they don’t bring the pre-planning for Genie+ to Disneyland. I like waiting until I’m in the park & see what wait times are before even deciding to buy Genie+. Also, right now if you have a Magic Key, you can’t buy Genie+ until you enter the park. If day ticket holders pre-booked all the big rides, Magic Key holders would have trouble getting Lightning Lanes.

I have no problems with mobile ordering. In fact, it has been a godsend for me. And it's been around before 2020. Everything else has been a pill and need to go away.

Couple of thoughts, the genie + announcement really didn't say anything definitive, they will try. Also, unless you eat 3 meals a day at the park the meal plan is not a value. We've done both & we gave it up years ago. We did like the convenience of not having to think about money & just whip out the magic band but we weren't getting our moneys worth. Sounds like things are headed in the right direction though.😊

To be frank, if you bought your tickets in advance, thus date based, they already have demographic information. Makes getting a reservation kind of redundant.

Love your videos you have a common sense approach to this I know now there is a bunch of upgrades to Disneyland now but traditionally we have been treated like a afterthought to Disney world and with bob c penny pinching unless they fix the reservation system I won’t be back I keep going to universal

I'd be curious to see how the new pre-reserving of Genie+ works. I always felt Fastpass+ was super unfair to those who couldn't afford fancy resort properties. I miss the dining plan at Disneyland. We used it the first time we took kids, back in 2009. Yes, Disneyland. Not Disney World.

I also feel like the expensive add ons were (and still are) inaccessible for all park goers. Not a lot of equity there.
