That's the common name for the species, dating back to when people said "randy" to mean what we mean by "horny," and "horny" only means "with horns." Miss Groke talks about horny toads at the start of the episode, because they're not really toads, but lizards. They're just called that. There were wild horny toads where I grew up, and I cought one a couple times during my childhood. They have a weird defense mechanism where they squirt blood out of their eyes onto you, so you think you're bleeding and let go to take care of your injury. Bizarre little creatures.

This reminds me of the time in 5th grade that we thought our teacher was a secret millionare. I dont know why but the rumor came about that he had a side job at Wall Street drove a really nice car and lived in a high rise apartment in Manhattan. Never did find out if it was true or not.

When I was in 1st grade I also thought that teachers lived at school. I was in a private Catholic school. Our religion teacher was also an administrator for the temple behind the school. She collected Kinder Egg toys, and we boys had a huge crush on her. We'd chip in to get her an egg every now and then. Her office was full Kinder Egg Toys! After that, we thought that teachers lived at the temple lol. On second grade I grew another brain cell and figured out that we were just dumb. Used to think that the world used to be black and white like on the old TVs too lol. I'm a 90s kid and this was in Mexico BTW.

Time for a new theory: The magician thing's just a hobby. Grotke's REAL second job is being an assassin who does wet work for the same organization Spinelli's parents work in (see "Parent's Night"). Muriel Finster was part of the same organization decades back--it's how Finster and Spinelli's grandmother Aggie knew each other while overseas in the 1950s (see "Weekend at Muriel's"). Oh yeah... it's all coming together!
