Disney's The Lion King performance at the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard

To celebrate its 20th year in the West End, the cast of Disney’s The Lion King open the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard.
A stage adaptation of the iconic animated film, Disney’s The Lion King is the sixth longest-running musical of all time, and has been seen by over 15 million people. Nominated for eight Olivier Awards when it first opened in 1999, this spectacular stage production is not to be missed.

It’s not just this one there is also magical ones which is shocking in the eyes .. I’ve seen it and it was magical when I saw all the objects and lights just going off doing the action

I never could get over how incredible the costume designs were. This is a show that makes me appreciate how people make such beautiful things. Things that make you forget how hard life can be if only for a moment.

Lebo M helped write the parts in Zulu. His choir sang most of the songs. In fact he was even in the Broadway show singing One by One.

First time I saw intro in Johannesburg in 2007, I could not believe what I saw, the ads was the king returns home. It was so fit thanks to Lebo M and all the south African culture. Hans Zimmer is a genius, Lebo M as well and the choreographer could not be better !

I've seen this 6 times over the years twice in one week here In Ireland and will always be as excited to go again . The most amazing show ever production , actors singing and the animals bring me to tears its so moving and perfect . Congratulations for what will always hold a special place in my heart ❤❤

Their are several casts. One for Broadway...one for travel...etc. of course they’re cast members.

I have seen the live performance twice in the UK. Wow the whole cast brought the film to life. The actors told the story. The singing blew us back and made us listen. Just a perfect show.

All the lead singers will be wearing mics. Some of the ensemble might not be here because of the venue, but in the real show every single person on stage will be wearing a mic.

matinees are less expensive but totally worth it ... we had amazing seats in Toronto .. 2nd row by the orchestra pit ... stuffing! i was left speechless and in tears
