The creep knows this and uses it to his advantage. Every single person on that elevator should have called the police at the very least. And yes it makes me sick that other men who are more physically capable and less intimidated aren't saying something or doing something. Yeah we all know feminism's wrong and stupid but that doesn't really make it okay. I mean look at the Daniel Penny and Jordan Neely situatuin. Penny absolutely did the righteous thing but our depraved society turned on him and threw him in jail for it. Nonetheless it was still the right thing, and you still have an obligation to do the right thing. Sometimes the broader society and culture is just wrong about something. Feminism is of course a perfect example of this. Men have an obligation to protect women from bad men. That's just how it is. Women are also supposed to have some obligations and norms of behavior that feminism has erased and distorted, but at the end of the day it doesn't change anything. Because that's the thing - you see a lot of dudes saying "well blame feminism!" and sure they have a point, but most reasonable adult men are fully aware that the feminist worldview is disordered and incoherent and wrong - so it's obviously ridiculous to allow an ideology we all know to be wrong to govern our behavior. Another obligation men have is to go against the grain and change the culture's course - and probably abused and hated for it - if it's necessary. Women are always going to be more inclined to go-along-to-get-along, so you can't expect them to be the ones to lead the way out of the feminist madness. It's gonna be up to the dudes to do that. Even if, for now, most women refuse to accept that they have unique duties and obligations as women, that doesn't mean we as men get to eschew our own obligations as men.
