I just replaced a bearing in my trans bottom cone and reinstalled the trans as you described in this video, thanks for the very easy and informative video, it works perfect.

Sean my dixon is little old thank it was never adjusted seems like more than 1 16 inch between cups and disc's just wanted to close that gap a little seems like I have to push controls long ways to go forward and backup so when it warms up I'll try to adjust looking at your videos thanks again you don't know how much I learned watching

Bill Huff Give it a try. Not too bad once you get going. Be aware that the cones don't always wear down the same. If that's the case, you can only adjust the cups in as much as the largest (thickest) cone will allow

Sean I found chain at tractor supply it is cheaper there just don't know what tension to adjust to and anything about tensions rollers thank you again will be watching. Bll

Hey Bill. Not sure I exactly follow you on what you are doing. There should be some clearance between cups and cones. The only time I have counted turns is on the bench adjustment when the transaxle is out of the mower. If you are adjusting the transaxle in the mower, do that using the two back springs and no you don't have to count turns. The two front neutral springs will only then need to be adjusted if the mower is creeping when the drive levers are up. I don't see a need to count turns, except for the the initial bench adjustment, but then again, your not going to hurt anything if you do. Also, my name is Sean. Not a big deal, but just so you know. Hello, I watched your videos on rebuilding the transmission, installing it & adjusting while running. Where did you order the set-up gauges from? Have you found a good place to get replacement parts?

I believe I ordered the gauges from someone off of ebay. The best place for parts I have found is www.dixonztrparts.com

The FixItDad Thanks, yes I found that website right after I commented on your video. I just bought a 2000 ztr 3014, it pulled good on the right side, but the left was pretty slow. I got it home & checked it out, 1 of the rubber springs on the bars that the rollers ride on is gone. Will be pulling trans. out & replacing them. Your video really helped, Thanks again

That was the intent. Then life got crazy and plans changed. I had more video shot, but discovered mic wasnt recording so I didn't post it. If I find something interesting to shoot again I definitely be will be

A lot of people have asked me to do this. I need to get a gauge and just do it as I understand the tool is hard to come by
