DIY 2 Stroke nitro engine (build)

My dad and I started building a 2 stroke nitro engine from scrap parts of aluminium. This is the build of the engine and in the following week or so we will know if it will start up and run.

I have experimented and did not keep this design up to date. It is a bit of a mess.

@@gwheyduke So far the machine has worked well for me. There are limitation on the size of the end-mills you can use due to the high RPM spindle. I find that 10k rpm is the lower range where torque is still acceptable. So if I stick to a 1 flute mill I can get a 8mm (almost 3/8") to work pretty well in Aluminium. At the end of the day its still a router and not a mill, but if you have time to wait, it gets the job done. BTW your channel, starting a homemade engine is what got me to buy the machine.....

What material did u used to build the gasket?

The gaskets where cut from a thin copper sheet. It was 0.1mm thick. Later on I experimented with high temperature silicone. It's a 2 part mix used for model casting in pewter.

It ended up at 10cc. The plan was 9cc, but after a early mistake with the cutting the cylinder 10% was added.

please help i need dimensions squish band,piston,crank shaft,fly wheel,inlet port,exhaust port,inlet pipe,distance from top dead center to outlet hole and in let hole and the area up to which the gasoline is compressed i mean what is the area up to which the fuel gets compressed the finale volume of fuel in compression.

You can move the piston in the model to see the workings of the model in fusion. If you do not have fusion let me know. I will pull up the plans over the weekend.

@@manishpoudel4540 Have a look at this link so long. Its just a test to see if you can open it. The piston can be flat and the head too. It does not have to have this shape for it to work.
