You can clean the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve of your Car's engine to improve performance.
If the PCV is clogged, you should replace it. However you can simply pull it out, clean it and install it back and it will be fine again. This is how I did mine.

I thought it dumb to replace the old valve, but because of all these brilliant comments on why not too. I’ve decided buying the part from the dealer and get the washer for free was quit possibly the best move yet!

After replacing that PCV vale, remove the plastic cover on the top of the intake manifold and look for the collapsed PCV hose where it attaches to the intake manifold.

It’s not good enough to just clean the pvc. You must consider the fact that overtime, the spring as well as the valve body develops wear.not to mention the fact that cleaning can never get all or the carbon out.these valves are cheap to buy, and not worth risking damaging your vehicle trying to cut this simple corner.

No. I didn't remove anything. Just follow the video & locate it. The car is an i4 engine.

Sorry, it's a good DIY. Spraying the valve cleaner or brake cleaner directly into the PCV helps to renew the valve.

This is like a 30 dollar valve its not cheap... just an FYI. And most of the time the solid metal ones don't fail they just get gummed up. Replacing it with a cheaper non honda one is a waste of money and usually causes poor idle issues. They are spring loaded... having a weak or improperly calibrated spring from an aftermarket supplier is usually what makes them run like dog crap.
