I need a buffer but don't have one, so I thought I'd try making my own!? Seems simple enough! An electric motor, some soft cloth... Boom! Electric buffer wheel! And I made the whole thing without spending a cent! It is amazing what you can do with the junk you have lying around! Thanks for watching!

i did something similar, the canvas cloth left quiet a mess, millions of stands everywhere like it was winter. a few minutes later i ended up with a bald pad and a big mess.

I am gonna make a buffing wheel using this video as refernece but would add just one more step of stitching the cloth material in concentric circles so that the fibres wouldn't just unravel and that would increase the lifespan of the wheel. More closer the concentric stitches, the harder the buff surface would be and vice versa, also depends on the fiber material used.

All it takes is 0.000001 of a millisecond for that razor to catch and it's hello Emergency Room. Do not try this at home.

Next time do it at your neighbors so he can help you find the section of your finger that got lopped off. Plus he can drive you and your nub to the ER.

@@spidermancereal Easy. I was just making of this common expression "do not try this at home" that we hear all the time... like if there was a place to be found where we can try this. Just "don't do it ! "

@@Stavroguine826 Yeah I know, I get ya. I'm just tryin to discourage anyone from trying this. Honestly I'm lucky to still have all of my fingers from all the times I tried to do something dumb or from being in a hurry.

hope your lungs didn't get too much cotton fibre into them. You should wear a mask i do when polishing. You could look it up about cotton fibres in the lungs just as bad as smoking. You did a good job though.

Just as a FYI, you want to buff the material between 6-9 o'clock on the wheel. It's brutally clear that you put very little time, if any, looking into polishing - technique and equipment. Overall, this was a completely pointless project.
